Ok will DCL match other TA's quotes while rebooking onboard? And if so, how much prior can the quotes be from - that week you are sailing? And do you still get the 10% and $200 shipboard credit??

Does anyone have an answer to these questions? I'd like to know, too!!

Bump - Does anyone know? I am also interested. - Mike

I can't say for certain, but can guess that they probably would not match a quote from a TA. If they did, I seriously doubt you would get the 10% discount on top of it. Maybe the stateroom credit, but that's doubtful as well. That could all combine to be a considerable amount.

You could always call the reservation number and ask. If the CM you speak to doesn't know the answer, ask them to check with a supervisor.

:earsboy: IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN, I THOUGHT I READ SOMEWHERE ON THIS BOARD THAT IF YOU CAN PROVE THE PRICE QUOTED BY YOUR T/A ON BOARD TO THE RE-BOOKING SPECIALIST, THEY WILL MATCH THE PRICE PLUS GIVE YOU THE ON-BOARD CREDIT.::MickeyMo

I doubt they would match it. Disney gives a 15% commission to TA's. How much of a deal you get from your TA is determined by how much commission they are willing to give up.

The 10% off and shipboard credit is a great deal and better than just about anything you're going to get from a TA. However, I've heard that you can than transfer your booking to a TA and possibly get even more shipboard credit from your TA.

FYI: if you book a cruise ahead of time and then rebook the same cruise when on board, the discount applies to the current rate which may be higher than the original price.

I read that somewhere on this board too. Someone said that they brought a quote with them on cruise and when they rebooked, disney matched it. I can't find who/when wrote it but I remember reading something like that here. AND they got the onboard credit!!

We originally rebooked in July 2002 on the Magic and received the 10% off plus a $200 per room shipboard credit. In November of 2003 we moved the reservation to Costco and saved another $500 per room and still kept the $200 shipboard credit. DCL would not match this, can't say if they would for anyother TA as we have only used Costco for our 2 previous cruises.
