Will DCL ever go to Bermuda?

Every time DCL announces new itineraries, I hold my breath, lol! Just wondering if there's a reason they can't, or won't, said to Bermuda.

One guess is that it is a distance thing. It's a 1 sea day steam to get there. 1 sea day to get back. You see more Bermuda from Charleston and NY/NJ as the ships are on their way south to warmer waters. Also, many ports require certain passenger counts or multiple stops. This can be much harder for Disney to guarantee than larger cruiselines.

A sample itinerary for Disney would be
Port Canaveral
Nassau
Castaway Cay
Sea Day
Bermuda
Sea Day
Sea Day

Another problem is the limited berths and the many cruise ship already going there. To get a berth DCL would have to make a big commitment to port calls.

I would love to see DCL go there, but I doubt it could happen, maybe after the 2 new vessels come out.

Bermuda is wonderful. I have been there a few times and find it very clean, safe and it has lots to do.

Too expensive to dock there.
LOL. Since when is that an obstacle for Disney?

As someone else said, berths are a major issue. There are only two Berths at the Royal Naval Dockyard and NCL and RCI have those berths dominated with multiple sailings a week and remain docked for up to 3 days. There just isn't the room. I suppose another ship could anchor in the harbor and tender pax ashore, but with the ferries and buses, I'm not sure the transportation infrastructure could really handle another 2500-4000 visitors....or at least handle it well.

The option would be for Disney to visit late in the season (Oct) once NCL and RCI change their ships itineraries away from Bermuda for the Winter and berths at the RND open up. You'll see a lot of international cruise companies docking then, like Aida.

Cruised to Bermuda many years ago. Honeymooned there as well. Love it! Would love if Disney chose to go there someday.
