Will bottled water freeze in the mini fridges?

Has anyone been successful in getting their bottles of water to freeze in their mini fridges? We've had food freeze in ours that wasn't suppose to freeze because it was set too cold or whatever. This is our first time going in hot weather and we'd love for some of our waters to freeze or partially freeze.

I feel so silly posting this but would really appreciate hearing your experiences.

Don't know where you're staying but we've never had our waters actually freeze when we stayed at BC, POR, AKL or Poly. Maybe you'll get lucky and have an extra cold mini fridge.

At both YC and BC, we have had our water freeze -- not on purpose, but repeatedly. I often turn the fridge to colder upon arrival because I'm putting in a bunch of things. I have at times forgotten to adjust it back to normal, and for those times we got ice in a bottle.

I agree it would be good to take to the parks. But ice in a bottle is both ineffective as a beverage, and very confusing, at 3am when you are feeling around in the dark for a quick swig of H2O.

Yes, we had water freeze last month at AKV. However it seems to be a bit hit or miss.

Kinda hit and miss if they will freeze well in the freezers have had it both ways over the years. good luck

My fridge at POR froze everything in there. I couldn't see an adjustment knob anywhere inside the unit. A maintenance man came and did something to the outside back of the fridge and the temp was more fridge-like after that.

We have found that the minifridges will cool (and freeze) more efficiently if you slightly prop open the door of the cabinet holding the fridge. We haven't tried to freeze water but the add tequila and freeze pouches of margaritas did perfectly!

A few years ago at the Contemporary our bottles of Dasani froze and became blocks of ice, however it's because the settings on our fridge got changed by mistake to make it a lot colder then it should be.

We had our fridge at POR freeze everything liquid, plus turned my salad into ice. Had to call maintenance to have them turn the temp up some. I am sure you could request that the fridge be turned all the way down as cold as it would go. You may want to warn them when you are checking out though, so that it doesn't freeze the next guests stuff.
