Just planned a trip for the end of Sept thru the beginning of October. Since there were only preferred view rooms letf(boardwalkview only avail for 4 of the 5 nights) we decided to stay at BCV for a change of pace. From what I'm reading, were best to stay in one of the higher floors. We couldn't request an Epcot view due to Soarin. Need some help with where we should put our request. :Pinkbounc

I think it depends on what you like, we have always stayed in the upper floors until our last trip which was on the first floor by the quiet pool. We loved that location, close to everything and we had no problems with noise....in all we have liked all of the rooms we have stayed in....

FYI, if you still want a boardwalk view at BWV, you could waitlist for your fifth night. With it being so far away, your chances of getting one is good.

For starters, the whole room location thing is an invitation to disappointment, since you don't have a lot of control over it. That said, pick a small number of factors that are very important to you and put them in order of priority. For the BCV, our family asks for: non-smoking, non-handicapped, quiet location. (That last entry gives the CM more lattitude than asking for a particular view or floor simply because you want peace and quiet.) You can ask for more factors or be more specific, but BCV tends to be fully booked most of the time so the more factors you ask for--and the harder you make it for the CM to accomodate you--the more likely you are to be disappointed about something that isn't really that important.
