Will and Grace

I agree with everyone here. Grace is not the same.

I agree as well.

I'm sure it's because she has always stated in interviews that it never came all that naturally to her, in comparison to the others. I guess it's hard to get her groove back.

I am hopeful though. She was my favourite character.

The first episode was not at all what we expected. Debra seemed quite a bit older to us. We joked that it was geriatric Will & Grace because the snappy lines were delivered so much slower than what we were used to! We just wanted them to be the same narcissistic people in their NYC apartments.

I agree with you on the bold. I'm sure it will get better and better though.

A bit off topic but my fourteen year old niece saw Will and Grace for the very first time last weekend.

She kept saying "What is with this fast-paced show?" over and over.

I still don't know what she is comparing it to but it was interesting that she found the pace so quick or erratic. It made me think what are sitcoms like now? :confused3

And it was entertaining to explain relationships and their dynamic, with her questions.

She asked so are Will and Jack going to be going out? We all in tandem went NO! Very vocally against it. :rotfl2:

I loved seeing Leo again.

Yes love him. And love the chemistry between them.

Harry Connick Jr. interviewed the entire cast. And the one part I found interesting was that Debra Messing explained that it was the very tight censorship, of the time and being a network show, that helped the hilarity of the series. Why? Because the writers had to work so hard - to be clever about getting the jokes over the heads of the censors. And the irony was that that made them more aggressive in context. And hilarious.

Harry stated that he would read the script and say "Oh no you are not going to say that, are you?" He couldn't believe certain lines would actually make the final cut.

The last 2 episodes were much better in regards to the political front. And now that not every joke/comment, etc is about something political I'm actually enjoying it more.

I do agree on the Grace part..maybe she just needs some grease in her Grace wheels to get it going whereas the others are still rolling with ease.

I loved the comparison between Jack and Will's gayness (sorry don't know how else to describe it) and how the younger individuals are now. The story of coming out is great to show how time has changed and adjusted the norms.

Good to hear that you are enjoying it more. :goodvibes

It is really making me smile and sometimes I don't even feel like it ever ended.

Karen was never my favourite but Megan Mullally is on a roll. :rotfl:

And yes perfectly said it is wonderful to see how times have changed, through the show. It's hard to believe that a sitcom had a part in it. But it certainly did.

Oh Karen I find hilarious. I can't even imagine another person stepping into that role like she has. There are shows out there (though I'm not truly sure how many there are today) that def. helped bring about change.
