We're book for Jan 08. Does a Concierge CM call me or should I be calling them about safaris?
We booked 2 days concierge just to do the sunrise safari but didn't know they only do this 2 days a week. Of course, not our days.:sad2: We're trying to switch the days (waitlisted) but may do the Sunset safari instead. DD and SM are staying with us and I'm not sure they'll want to shell out that extra money.

Call and talk to Don NOW!!!!! make the res for that right now it tends to fill up quick:banana:

I always use email. I'm sure it's faster for them to read an email as opposed to listening to messages.

I would call too. We are going 3rd week of Jan 08 and called yesterday ( Wednesday ) and booked the sunset safari .

I called and you have to leave a message and I got a call back about 4 hours later.

I called yesterday at lunch time but haven't heard from them.
If I don't hear back this morning, I'll email.
Thanks

What is the Phone Number Please ? We Are booked For Presidents week

Thanks
George

All my initial communications with Don at AKL Concierge IPO WERE BY VOICEMAIL.

He always called back and he always followed with an email CALL ASAP AND LEAVE A MESSAGE WITH YOUR RESERVATION NUMBER AND YOUR REQUEST he will do what he can for you he's a great CM

Not sure why you're yelling.:confused3

Don is indeed a great CM.

Although you chose to call, it doesn't mean that is the only way to go. I just think it is more considerate of the CMs time to email with your reservation info. I don't send my cc info via email so eventually will need to talk with them anyway. But which way do you prefer to get info...through a voicemail or an email? I really prefer emails as it is so much faster to read them.

But either way works.;)

Just a little bit of new info...new for me anyway. I had a reply to my email and as DVC members we do not need to provide credit card #s upfront. I guess they know where to find us. They only need the names of the guests.

Nice little convenience for DVC members.

And now I can do everything by email!:cool1:

Don't forget you can ask them to try and book some of the more illusive dining reservations as well...CRT and Chefs Table at V&A for instance. If spots are gone, they can't create them but they can try and book as soon as reservations open.

I got an email today from AKV CL confirming our Sunrise Safari in January '08, with a confirmation number, but signed by Jim Lynch, not Don. His title is "Concierge/Itinerary Planner". :goodvibes

Thanks, emailed AKLV Concierge and got a reply really quickly. I am now booked on the 16th Dec tour and no credit card needed.

I booked Dec1 as concierge using cash way back in January. I also booked the afternoon and morning safaris without credit card #'s when concierge didn't know I was a DVC member. I'm guessing credit card numbers aren't needed from anyone.

I'm almost certain we needed to give a cc # when we booked the safari on our previous cash AKL club level stay. I know I have needed to give it to IPO in the past for various reservations. Anything that would typically require one like CRT, the Hoop, California Grill, etc. requires a cc # in my experience.
