I'm thinking that my DS will absolutely love Cirque because of all the acrobats and stunts. He is constantly running around jumping and trying all kinds of things. Everyone else thinks I'm wasting my money and should just take him to Universal for the day. I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!

Take him to Cirque! I've seen kids much younger than him be absolutely mesmerized by the performances.

Take him! I saw Cirque last year, and it is a show that will appeal to all ages - he'll love it!

Disney's cirque is very kid-oriented. When we were there in June they had a segment done with trick bicycle riding and one incredible segment with trampolines. We've also seen one in Las Vegas which was more adult, but our kids still enjoyed it. I think your son will love the one at Disney.

Your son will LOVE the show! I've seen La Nouba at Disney and also just saw Varekai in DC (last night actually). We had a few kids sitting behind us who were totally mesmerized by the stunts. Your son will have a wonderful time!!

We saw Varekai in DC last night too. I took my daughter and her husband (and I wasn't sure her husband would like it.) He raved about the show and now wants to take his 2 daughters to see Cirque when we all go to Disney World for Thanksgiving next year. At that time, they will be 5 and 7.

I have seen the show at Disney several times and think it is fun for all.

We did this for the first time 3 weeks ago. My 5 y/o DD sat mesmorized through the whole show. Even though they didn't have an intermission she didn't move. She enjoyed every minute.

Oh yes take him!
Cirque is memorizing and I'm sure that he'll enjoy every minute of it. I've seen La Nouba and I loved it. If I remember correctly Cirque designed this show with kids in mind (some of their Las Vegas shows you have to be 18 or older). If you don't already know La Nouba is a place where dreams and nightmare collide. I've also seen Varekai in Chicago and love it as well. I watched the special on A & E about creating it, so I just had to watch it.
If you get A & E, check and see if they are playing any Cirque shows. They won't show La Nouba, but they will show some of their shows (the ones that travel).

We went on October 14. DD9 turned to me about 15 minutes in, wide eyed and asked "This is real, right". She absolutely loved it (as did the rest of us).

I have a Cirque show on my Netflix queue and I'm going to have my 11yo watch it before deciding whether or not to bring him to La Nouba. My DH and I saw in in September and my husband thinks that our son would prefer to go to Disney Quest for a few hours (he may, but I wouldn't...). Figure I'll see his reaction after watching the DVD and then decide.

TAKE HIM!

My 4 y/o son loved it last summer. He sat there the whole time mesmorized. He stills talks about it.
I can understand your question though, I know I questioned about going & paying for my DS...but I am SO HAPPY I did. He really enjoyed it.

Enjoy the show!
