My daughter will be 4 1/2 this August when we arrive at WDW. We were thinking about doing Universal too. Will she be able to go on any of the rides? Does anyone know the height restrictions for the new rides.
Thanks,

My girls are 6, 4 and almost 2, and we always visit US and IOA when we go down to Orlando and have a blast. USF has the Barney show, Curious George's Playland (which is a great big water play area for kids and adults) and many themed areas that we just enjoy. Same goes for IOA - the have Seuss Landing and several smallers areas where the kids can explore and play. I'm not sure about the height restrictions for the new rides, though, but even without the new rides, we always have a great time when we visit.

Yeah, there is so much for kids that age to see and do at both parks. So yes there will be things to ride and see and they will enjoy them.

How tall is your daughter? Unless she is a real petite girl she should be able to do a lot. I'm trying to wait to visit until my son is 42" tall so that he'll be able to go on most of the rides except for the "big" rides. His 9yo brother is big enough for the big rides, but is a chicken, so we don't need to wait for my youngest to be big enough for those rides since we'll probably always need to do the baby swap.

I know that my 3yo would enjoy Spiderman, Men in Black, Back to the Future, etc and the height restriction for those rides is 40-42 inches. He's about 39" now and I'm really trying to encourage him to eat more... ;)

I recently took my sister and her two kids (3 and 5) and they had a blast!!!! They really loved the woody woodpecker rollercoaster. The adults had ridden the hulk, so the kids thought it was too cool that they could ride their own coaster. It was the longest day they had spent at a theme park, and they never got cranky. one trick, save Barney and other kid themed attrations for last, since that when they start getting tired. the 3 year old loved barney so much it actually made me enjoy it, and i hate barney. at ioa, make sure to go to the discovery center. the 5 year old said she was too scared to go see the real dinosaurs, but after seeing the discovery center and the baby dinosaur, she begged us to see the really big one!!
