Well --- we made our reservation for the WL ... we will be staying there (2) nights in November, 3rd and 4th --- before heading to the Boardwalk Inn for
(4) days. I had originally wanted to stay at the Contemporary, to take advantadge of the monorail, but found the WL rate more suited to our budget. I am sad about the monorail ... but glad to be on the MK side. I do love the WL ... the pool looks much better than CR ...

So here is my question --- how is the boat service to the Contemporary and MK?? I think we'll use it more to hop over to the Contemporary, to eat at Cali Grill, Wave ... and Poly Restaurants...

Hoping the boat service isn't too bad !!

Thanks for any & all input....

This is a good question, I wondered about the boat service to MK too. I thought of a at MK but have breakfast or lunch here and return to MK.

The boat service is great and you seldom wait very long. You will spend plenty of time on the monorail too exploring the other monorail resorts and their shops and restaurants. You aren't missing out on anything and the WL is a beautiful resort.

We love it there.

Don't forget the boat service to the Contemporary and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground operates from 6:45 AM - 11:30 PM. Also when wanting to visit the Contemporary you need to go on the boat with the blue flag.

The WL is a great resort with a great pool :goodvibes.....and the boat transportation to/from the MK and CR is wonderful :thumbsup2. On both of our stays there we never found ourselves waiting long at all for the boat :). Have a magical trip as the WL is an awesome resort :wizard:.

Sorry to go against the grain, but we did not like the boat service. We didn't have to wait long to get them, but they seemed to take forever once we were on them.

The pool is wonderful, but be careful of the "current" in the deep end. It can get quite strong. We saw a young girl who had to be pulled from the water and given CPR. Thank goodness she was OK, but it sure made everyone there be a bit more careful!!!

Are you kidding me? That poor family! How deep is the deep end you're talking about? My DD is 7 she loves to swim. This scares me!

I am 5'3" and I could not stand at the deepest part. The pool is divided into 2 sections. The "calmer" section is shallower & is where the slide empties into. This water is calm. There is a rope to indicate where the water gets deeper, and it isn't until you get around the corner in this part of the pool that the current picks up. The lifeguards are constantly walking around the outside of the pool & are pretty strict. As long as you stay in the calm side, it isn't bad. I just know that I get skittish about my kids around the water (even though they both can swim)...you just never know!!
