Wilderness Lodge views--the castle, or not?

I had a concierge stay which viewed the castle over the trees. It was during Christmas of 2002 and someone else mentioned that a CM said they didn't recommend the castle views because they are over a loading dock. I didn't even remember the loading dock! Can anyone else who's stayed in WL concierge with a castle view verify this? Also, how are the other views? I'm just trying to get some more input so I can offer more opinions. I loved our castle views but I don't know how the others compare.

We were not concierge but in 4056 and could see the castle through the trees and the fireworks above it. We were over a dock area - it looked like a shed and had a few utility vehicles. I just focused on looking out, not down!

It depends on how close you are to Whispering Canyon - if you are close to the end of the hall closest to the lake, you will have less noise.

We were there for 6 nights in November 2003, room 6034 I think, just off the elevators around to the left - most nights I heard nothing, one night I heard some loading and unloading of trucks.

I had a concierge room at the WL that overlooked the castle. The balcony was high enough that I had to stand on tiptoe and peer over to see that there was a loading dock below. To be honest, we never heard anything but the fireworks at night

We had a castle view room in 2000 which was over the little pond, not over the loading dock. Couldn't even see the loading dock. We had a perfect view through the trees. I don't remember what floor or number - we were up at least to fourth floor maybe higher.

We had a standard view room back in 2002. I believe it was on the 5th floor. It definately overlooked a loading area of some kind, but to be honest, it never bothered us. I don't distinctly remember seeing the castle, but we could definately see Space Mountain and catch a glimpse of the monorail going by. We could see the fireworks from our room also. Sorry - I don't remember what room number it was.
