Can't wait to see them. BTW, did concierge come through on all your pre-shopping and the Romance Package? I'd love some details. We're doing concierge at the GF in December.

Pictures of the Lodge that I took from various places; the front, from the marina, from the boat to Magic Kingdom, etc:

SEASPRAY - thanks for your reviews and pictures!! I am getting excited for my August trip (GF) with my kids! One month from today!!! :flower:

I was just wondering about the July 4th crowds.....What did you think? Would you do that time of year again?? That is a triple bday week for my family and I turn 40 next year - so I am THINKING about doing a trip that week, but we'll see.....

Glad you had a nice trip & your special anniversary plans worked out!

This picture was taken one night before dinner, when we stopped at the lounge to sample some of their evening offerings. The chili and potato cheese soup were wonderful! So was the wine :teeth:

We arrived on the 5th of July, and that day the crowds did seem to be really large, but as the week went on, it seemed to be less and less crowds. On our arrival day there were many, many families checking out, so I think a lot of people tend to leave right after the 4th.
Honestly, I would go again at that time year, but just know two little words...."heat index"! While the thermometer may have read 92 degrees, the humidity raised to heat index (what it actually feels like) to 102 on one day, and 110 on another day. Just be prepared for that, plan on taking it easy and not try and do too much at the parks in one day, and you'll be ok. :)

yes, concierge came through for me! They handled my "wedding" anniversary cake flawlessly, which was the most important thing that I had asked them to do. They got the gold mickey ears hats embroidered for me, and they were set up nicely on the day bed when we arrived at the Polynesian resort. Everything I had asked them to do, they carried out well :) However, I will add, that on the day of our anniversary, while DH was up in the lounge (at the Polynesian), I stopped at the concierge desks just to make sure that everything was going as I had asked, regarding the cake. The CM at the desk called Jeffrey in the pre-planning office and he assured her that he was taking care of it. And he did! Whatever he told our server at 'Ohana that night, the server got it right; he brought the cake out exactly when I wanted it, which was right after we had finished dinner and had our plates cleared, and before the pineapple and caramel came out.

Ok, I think that's all of my Wilderness Lodge pictures! If I come across any more, I will add them here. Now, on to add the pictures to my Polynesian review! :sunny:

SEASPRAY - Thanks for the reply. Yes, we went in August last year 19th -29th so at least we didn't have to deal with too many crowds, but I understand about that HEAT and HUMIDITY - ugh. It is awful. We plan on taking our time and being a bit lazy on this trip. It is just hard not to have that go go go attitude. ;) So much to see & do! (even on our 5th trip in a year  )

Love the pictures!!
