Wilderness Lodge Renovations?

There is a thread at the resort board that the WL is doing room renovations.

Truth or fiction?

I'm curious b/c there have been remarks that the renovations will be done by July and we're checking in on July 17th.

They are doing renovations. I was there last week and they ended up being overbooked because of the renovations. They moved guests to the Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Contemporary. I do not know when the renovations will be wrapped up.

I think most of the changes are inside the rooms, correct? Not to any "themeing" type thing?

Very true, they have finished some renovations on the 6th floor and there are posts of pictures of the renovations in a thread on the disney resorts board. I may see you there I'm checking in to WL on July 18th. lol.

we are staying at the WL in June i am wondering if we will get a renovated room right now we have a bunk bed woods view room.

Wish they would make bigger rooms during the remodeling.: I love WL but the rooms are so god awful small. I know they are not classified as deluxe but somehow the moderate resort rooms seem bigger....

but still..you gotta love any threads that deal with construction -

yep...definitely in the budget to blast out structural steel and two foot reinforced concrete decks built to withstand hurricane force winds so that there is adequate scooter parking or a place for a coffee niche
