Wilderness Lodge Questions

We are scheduled to stay at the Wilderness lodge 6/5-6/12. Family includes husband and 7 year old daughter. We have stayed at Port Orleans, Dixie Landings, and Caribbean Beach before. Does anyone have any info about the Wilderness Lodge?

Unfortunately we have not spent time at WDW for over a year due to our GREAT 7 day WDW cruise last year.

I'm leaving in 10 days for my first WL experience. Very excited. I'd like to bump this thread and see if we get any tidbits from fellow DISers.

We were there in March with our 4 year old and 7 year old daughters. They really loved the WL.

Some of their favorite things that they still talk about: Asking for ketchup in the Whispering Canyon restaurant (just do it), sliding down the pool slide, riding the boat to MK, driving the water mice boats, raisning the flags over WL(ask at check-in), watching Chip and dale movies in the lobby, looking for Hidden Mickeys, feeding the fish FrootLoops on the dock while waiting for the ferry, watching the EWP from the beach,sitting in the pool and letting the river flow onto you, watching the geyser blow, and their #1 favorite thing and best souvenier was getting a hair wrap poolside. Have fun!!

You'll love WL. This is our second trip there and can't wait. I go with my son, now 20 but the first time he was 15. easy access to get to MK and to get to epcot go to monorail then go right to epcot. I think your child is going to love it. I think children like any hotel as long as they ar in Disney. We'll be there the same time as you, 6-6-10 then going off to Universal Studios I booked a woods view, I hope I get what i got last time, you could see the castle at night changing colors but no matter where my room is I don't care, I'll be in Disney
