if you have stayed in a standard room and a deluxe studio, which do you prefer and why?

Depends on the party make up. If two non married adults, definitely main Lodge with two real beds. If family with two kids who don't like sharing a bed, I'd go with the studio in BRV. Also, the kitchenette is nice with kids, not as big of a deal with adults. If just one kid, maybe studio at CCV, although I haven't had the opportunity to stay there yet.

We liked the studio for the kitchenette. However, it was just DH, myself, and DD. I wouldn't stay in a studio with more than 3 people because at CC you have 1 bed and 1 pullout sofa.

It would just be my bf and myself. I was wondering more about room comparisons.

What do you mean by “room comparison “ ? What are you asking?
As PP have stated the major differences are the number of beds and the kitchenette vs none.
They are about the same size. The DVC Villas arenot updated as often and many think BRV is outdated. CCV is a brand new conversion so it is updated, but the Villas are smaller than BRV.
Although the rooms are about the same size, the kitchenette takes up space making Studios feel smaller. For 2 adults I like the studio with one bed and the couch to relax on.

For an adult couple, i would suggest the Copper Creek Villas because they are new, bathrooms are nicer, lighting, charging ports, etc., brand new, and you'll have more room because instead of a second bed, you'll have a (pull-out) couch that you can sit/hang out in. A real winner if you do not need a second bed.

P.S. - I've stayed at both, WL with family back in 2014 and CCV this past July.

It is just my husband and myself so I prefer the studio setup with a bed and a couch, but to be honest the difference isn't so much that it would be a deciding factor.

I agree. I would also suggest staying in the Copper Creek Villas. Besides being new, which is great, you will still be in the Lodge.

I absolutely loved the deluxe studio--probably because I went right after they finished and I was the first person to stay in it. I enjoyed it so much more than the Poly studio. I love WL so I would recommend staying no matter which room you choose. Have a great time!
