Wilderness Lodge Problem

I believe there are times when the water level is too high for those in wheelchairs to use the boats. If they didn't have a bus to MK, there would be no direct route to the MK for those in wheelchairs.

I was just about to say almost the same thing. Have you ever tried to put an ECV on the boat when the water level has dropped? Not a fun time. Not sure if that's why they have a bus now or not. :sunny:

This is also exactly what I was going to say.

Also, the boat does not take 20mins if going directly, only about 12 minutes. The bus drops you way over to the right (the usual stops at MK) whereas the boat drops you right outside, directly opposite the MK entrance. It's six and half a dozen which you prefer.

I may try WL because of this bus to the MK. I had wanted to try WL but not after experiencing the transportation at MK closing to retrieve my car from valet. Keep the bus!

Not to diagree with you #1MMFan but after 3:00pm when the boat has to go to FW before heading on to MK it is definetly not a 12 minute ride. Also, the wait time between boats is longer than the wait time between busses which can increase the time. And since the bus is not as popular right now, when I was there the begining of the month for nine days I never saw the bus fill up to capacity and have to leave people waiting for the next bus in the morning. I did see this happen with the boat.

The boat from the WL to MK doesn't stop at FW until after 3:00 pm. Unless things have changed the boat from WL to CR doesn't go to the MK. I haven't been to WDW since last Dec. and at that time they didn't have buses to MK from WL. I really enjoy the boat ride, but can see myself taking the bus during crowded periods to the MK. It's not so good when the boat comes from FW and is full and you have to wait for the next boat.

I actually don't agree. In eight trips to Disney, I've only gone to the TTC twice. Now, we love WL, but hate the long, slow boat ride to MK. In the evenings, it's horrible waiting for a boat and takes way too long. We were thrilled with the addition of bus transportation to MK.
