Wilderness Lodge Photo Thread- Please feed my addiction!!

I just spent 25 minutes scrolling through 1/3 of this thread. There are some absolutely gorgeous photos in here. Thanks to everyone. I am super excited about my upcoming stay at WLV in May. I had dinner at Artist Point in September, walked in, and fell in love with the lodge. I told my DH I "had" to stay here in May. Called at 9am, exactly 90 days out, and my wish was granted. So please, please, please keep posting pictures and I will go back and see the rest of the thread, but I'm going to save it for another day.

Does anyone have pictures of the plaques below the Raven and Eagle totem poles? Or does someone know what they say? I found an article with information that the Raven totem pole depicts a "raven pulling the sun, moon and stars from a box to light the darkened world." I am looking to confirm this information and find the same information for the Eagle totem pole. Thanks!

But just wanted to share some info with ALL the WL fans.:thumbsup2 If you like the ride SOARIN in EPCOT, the Colonial candle " Holiday Sparkle" is an EXACT replica (scent) of flying over the orange groves on Soarin! We love their candles and ordered some of our favorites for the holiday recently. I opened a jar of the Holiday Sparkle and smelled it and told DW that it "took" me to SOARIN. Then I figured out the EXACT scene. DW concurred that it was the EXACT smell you have flying over the orange grove in SOARIN! Just wanted to share this with all the WL fans. We have previously loved the smell of this candle, but just now made the connection. :cool1:

I have been waiting for our local garden/gift stores to put out their holiday candles but came across a large oval shaped holiday sparkle candle at Marshalls today. They had a bunch and they smell just like Soarin! The best part is they were only $10.99! I bought 3 for gifts and one for myself. Oh, and I found these in the Cleveland area/west side. Thanks so much for the tip!:thumbsup2

Does the bunk bed room sleep 5?

No, 4 is the max (unless you have an infant under 2) in all of the rooms, except for the Deluxe rooms...they will sleep 6 in 2 queens and a Sofa bed.

Fantastic photos, I just booked my first ever stay at the WL for next May and can't wait.

Subbing. Looking forward to this resort- although I'm hoping it's a good follow up from having stayed at the Poly last year!

Good Morning Friends!! This question has probably been asked 100 times, but does anyone know the exact date the WL Christmas Tree goes up? My family and I are planning a trip in 2 years and now we're leaning towards Nov/Dec again. We'd love to see that beautiful tree again!! :goodvibes

Does anybody have any pictures of the decorations yet for this year? I'm down to 17 days now, and am VERY anxious! I'd love a preview to hold me over!!!

Hi everyone. I got back from my first stay at the lodge on Sunday. All I can Say is AMAZING. I love love love the WL and wish I can stay there every trip. :worship::worship:. We stayed in room 4001 and I thought we had a great view.

Wow, thats is too funny. We just got back from our trip 10/29 - 11/7 at the Wilderness Lodge. Guess what room we were in, you got it 4001. Thanks for leaving the Light on. What a great view of the electric parade at night.

Glad everyone had a great stay.:cool1: We will be there in less than a week!:banana::banana:

You have a great stay. I envy you.

Thank You. We are really anticipating it this year, because it will be our oldest daughter's and oldest grandson's first trip ever. It will be our first stay in a 2 bedroom villa. We are staying for a week, but we know it will all pass by too quickly.

This year, I think it went up earlier this week, b/c someone posted a beautiful picture of it on another thread. I'm not sure if that is the norm, but it is usually up by Thanksgiving.

DisneyNutz, do you have a link so I can create maid tipping envelopes with Disney characters or the Wilderness Lodge info on them? I had one from last year & I did not save it properly when I purchased my new computer. I can't find a user friendly link???
