Wilderness Lodge is the BEST~~~

I have been staying at WL since 2001 and having come off the back of several trips to DxL we certainly noticed a lack of options at Roaring Fork. But, in saying that we realised this before we booked, and since going to WL we almost certainly would not consider staying elsewhere.

I can understand those who say that being a Deluxe, dining is more weighted in favour of table service restaurants, but the fact remains there are only 2 table service restaurants: Of these WC can be very difficult to walk-in to and also has food options which my family I don't care for, and Artist Point only serves dinner (and is hardly a restaurant one would visit every other day for their evening meal).
It's about time that Disney started Artist Point doing breakfasts again, don't you think? What happened to breakfast with Pooh?? (It wasn't there when I started going in 2001).

Glad you enjoyed WL. We'll be staying there again in Jan and can't wait. About the Roaring Forks...I agree, very limited. But on the other hand, I know that we, personally don't stay deluxe only to eat counter service meals, but that's just our family.

Just back from the WL....loved almost every thing about it. The transportation was wonderful. I will NEVER stay anywhere else!!

The only part I was really unhappy with is Roaring Forks! I mean, come on people.....this is a huge place and they have one little counter service and the choices were so limited. We have stayed at POP three times, the food court was great. Lots of choices for the dd's. Glad we only at breakfast at Roaring forks.

Thanks for the report; we're heading there 12/9! We were at the GF in February and noticed the little food court, but it met our needs. We are so excited about WL!!!!

So glad you enjoyed the WL. It is our favorite as well and what happened to several who posted before me - once I stayed there I didn't want to stay anywhere else. I now own DVC at the WLV and couldn't be happier. However, I can't imagine a trip to Disney without staying at the WL. So from now on, I think I'll have to do split stays where I start out somewhere else but end at the WL as I do want to try BC and AKL soon. My next trip is Christmastime at the WL and I can't wait.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the Lodge! We will be going in January. I cannot wait!!!! As for the counter service, that doesn't worry me, because we will probably rarely need to use it. But, it is good to know this anyway. Sometimes we may not plan to eat at the counter services at the resorts, but end up going. Thanks for the report!

Hello all, this is my first post. I love the Wilderness Lodge. We will be returning in three days. I am excited.

How do you make signatures? I have been to DW: WL: Feb 1998, Mar 2000, Mar 2001, Feb 2003, Feb 2006, Nov 2006, and am going Nov 25, 2007. Disney is my favorite destination.

I love the lodge. The only thing i didnt like was the laundry. There wa slike 4 washers and 8 dryers for the whole resort. That was crazy. Remember a few years ago how small roarings was BEFORE the remodel.
