Hi!

My husband and I own 200 VGF direct points. When access to the DVC lounges say “A Member can bring in up to 4 Guests per Membership Card, or the number of Guests on their Resort reservation, booked within their Membership.” Does that mean that my husband and I can each bring 4 guests? We are both on the contract. We have another family coming with us that I booked their room for but they’re not DVC members.

As far as I know yes as long you and your husband both or are your direct membership you can each bring in 4 guests.

This doesnt apply if you are using MMB to get priority seating or the charter meet at Epcot. That would require you to have 2 MMB memberships.

Thank you!! We have 2 separate reservations for the same timeframe under our membership. So it should be all of us included on the reservations, right?

That’s mine too. My husband said I’m overthinking it, which I usually do, but I want to ensure that we’re all clear 😆😆
So you are still taking about regular lounge visits not MMB right?

Just make sure you and your husband both have your Y card to show at the lounge

Yes, correct. We both have Y on our cards. If we were to do MMB, it still says that it would be the number of people on our reservation. We have 2 reservations under our membership - one for us and one for our friends.

You or your husband would need to be on your friends reservation to make it work with MMB.

Ok, even if it’s made with our membership?
Yes. For instance if you gifted it to them and didn’t go with them on the trip they couldn’t get into the lounge.

I really boils down to if you are using MMB or just visiting the lounge without it.

If no MMB then you don’t need to be on thier reservation, just you and your husband both need to be present when checking into the lounge. Each checking in the allotted amount of people.

If with MMB you will need to either have 2 MMB memberships or the one that owns the membership has to be on both reservations.

I think we are talking about two different things, and it is easy to confuse them for each other.

The first is "Can I enter the DVC lounge, and who can I take?" The answer to that is: Any person who is named on a qualifying Membership can enter, and each can bring their own group of guests. If both you and your spouse are named on the deeds, you both count.

The second is "Can I get expedited access to the DVC lounge, and who can I take?" As far as I know, the individual who buys MMB have this access, but it is tied to an individual, not a Membership. So, if you buy MMB, you can individually bring in up to four people (or the total number of people on your reservation, whichever is larger). But, if your spouse does not also buy MMB, they count as one of your guests and/or must be on your reservation. They cannot expedite access sfor their own group.

Thank you. The main question was the first one, not expedited access. Then it morphed into the expedited access question 😆. We have 2 resort reservations - one with my family of 5 + infants and then one in our friends’s name with 2 adults and 1 child.

In that case, for regular access, all will be eligible to be on with you and your husband!
