Just wondering if anyone has a picture of the fitness center or could direct me to where I could find one. Thank you.

Someone may correct me if I'm wrong but I'm fairly certain the health club/fitness room is for DVC members only and is called Sturdy Branches.........look at Disney Villas at Wilderness Lodge info for pictures under vacation club..............

I believe that the same health club is for both the Villas and WL. Can anyone else confirm as I'll be looking to us next month when we stay at WL

From this weeks issue of "All Ears," Deb Wills' Disney newsletter:

"As of June 1, Walt Disney World resort guests (age 14 and older) staying at the following resorts can use the associated fitness centers at no additional charge for the duration of their stay:

Animal Kingdom Lodge - Zahanati Fitness Center
BoardWalk - Muscles & Bustles Health Club
Coronado Springs - La Vida Fitness Center
Contemporary - Olympiad Fitness Center
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - Disney's Grand Floridian Spa & Health Club
Old Key West - R.E.S.T. Exercise Room
Polynesian - Grand Floridian Spa & Health Club
Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa - Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Fitness Center
Wilderness Lodge and The Villas at Wilderness Lodge - Sturdy Branches Health Club
Yacht & Beach Club Resorts and Beach Club Villas - Ship Shape Health Club

A parent or legal guardian must accompany children under 17.

In addition, Disney Vacation Club members will be allowed to use the fitness center at any Disney Vacation Club resort, as long as they are staying at a Walt Disney World resort. A $12 fee will apply only if the DVC member visits a non-Disney Vacation Club resort's fitness center (e.g., Contemporary or Coronado Springs) and is not staying at that resort.

Guests of resorts not listed above, or those who wish to use another resort's fitness center, may do so for $12 per day, based on availability. The purchase of a spa treatment includes use of the adjacent fitness center for the day of treatment."

"No additional Charge" I like that! It used to cost money to go to Sturdy Branches if you were staying at WL.

hat is great, we stayed at Animal Kingdom for a week paid the family plan fee, and were lucky enought to be able to extend that when we moved over the the Wilderness lodge for another week. The prices weren't bad, but just another thing to have to worry about paying for. I'm glad that it is changing.

this is geat news.

myself and DW have recently lost a bit of weight. she has lost 18lbs and i am proud to say 47 lbs so far!! part of our success has been getting exercise. i have been weightlifting and both of us have been using the treadmill regularly. also DS#2 has been using the treadmill to help with his football conditioning. so we were going to purchase the family plan to use the fitness center on our vacation. now we are getting to use it for free!!! a bit of disney magic is say!!! this way we can enjoy a bit more of the goodies WDW has to offer and just walk next door and burn some of it off.

thank you WDW

If you are in to walking/running, you can take the path over to FW, run around the loops there and head back to WL. We did that in January and I loved it. You can see deer in the wooded areas along the path early in the AM.
