When leaving kids at the Cubs Den, is there a maximum distance that parents can be away (like going to dinner at another resort or off Disney property)? I've read that you're given a pager but can't seem to find the range. :confused3

They no longer give out pagers. Instead they take cell phone numbers. I suppose if a parent didn't have a cell, they might still have some pagers to give out. That's a rare occurence anymore, I'm sure.

You aren't limited by distance but rather by time. You have to be back by midnight or your coach turns into a pumpkin. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving Disney property with DD in a Kids' Club, but I would be fine going to another resort for dinner, to a park, or to DTD. DD went to the Cubs' Den twice on our last trip, once I went to MK for a couple hours, and the other time I went to Epcot.

Question - did you make advanced reservations for your DD?

I did make advance reservations. The first reservation I made a few months in advance because I was also making a dining reservation. I called for the second reservation just a couple days ahead.

We have a Maggie too. Did she enjoy herself in the cubs den?:confused3 We've never left our kids in disney before. :scared:

She loved it so much she asked/begged to go back for the second night. And will still occassionally talk about the "camp" she went to at Disney and how much fun that was. This was 10 months ago when we were there.
