Wilderness Lodge Check in question

I was wondering how to do this on our trip in Jan.-- We were able to recieve an AP rate on the WL room, however we won't have our passes yet when we check in--Will we need to go get the pass when our flight lands and check in after or will a receipt be enough for the from desk until we can get our pass?
Anyone ever had this problem? We are getting in late afternoon and wern't going to the park until the next day.

Technically I believe you need your passes at checkin. We have been asked but then when we went to get them out of my purse the CM said not to worry about it. Others here have posted that they either needed to show them or go activate them and show them later. Still others have said they were not asked at all. Not sure.

Last year I checked in without the pass and the CM told me to bring it back and show it to them after I got it.

Mine won't be activated yet when we check in. I'm betting they will let me check in with the voucher as long as I come back to show the activated AP later. If not, then I figure it isn't that big a deal to hop over to MK from WL to get it activated, right?!?

When we checked in last year, they didn't even ask for ours. However, if
you are afraid that they will take a copy of your receipt for your AP and they should prove enough to them.

When we checked into WL December 16, the CM asked me if the AP rate of $137 was correct and I told her yes....She never asked to see my AP. I was not asked to show it at CSR in June, either, but it seems like it just depends on who checks you in.

The 3 times I have used AP rates, I have not been asked to show the pass. One time at CBR, the cm even asked me if I needed to buy a pass (I was by myself, so I should have an AP and not need to buy a pass).

I will try to use my reciept first and see if that works--Since I am technically a first timer, (well not since 72 have I gone) maybe that will work in my favor.
