Good morning Banana Heads

The Cleveland newspaper has a motto: Miss a Day, Miss a Lot. On this thread, it's more like Miss an Hour, Read a Lot :lmao:

:welcome: LORNA AND FAMILY!! Being from Ohio, my first question for you is ... MSU or U of M?? ;)

I have to congratulate so many on the board for bringing me to tears while laughing so hard over the last couple of days :lmao: :
Sarah: BRAVO on the cryptogram! (is your eye feeling better now?!)
Bob: Ditto on the "that's radiation radiating from your monitor" :rotfl2: That almost got a spit-take.
And kudos to the supporting cast -- Linda, Wendy, Denise and Cheri! And Kathy for the Minnie-and-the-pants story! Plus of course all youze others guys too. This is going to be the vacation of a lifetime! :woohoo:

Kathy, when Mom and Dad lived in Leesburg they would tell me about finding snakes all over their yard, too. One day Dad was weeding or something, stood up and was face-to-face with a small snake half-way in and half-way out of the siding of the house :crazy2: .

Gotta get to the stuff they pay me for. Will check in later ...

Morning all!!!

It's cold & frosty here this morning! At least the sun is out :sunny: .

Not much on tap today -- just work. I'm going to pick up a carrot cake (DH's favorite) to take to work so there are more people to eat it. If I have it at home, I'll be the one to eat most of it. :rolleyes1 I do have cruise wear to fit into in a few weeks. . . :teeth:

Gotta go get ready. Talk to you nanas later!

Welcome again Lorna! :cheer2: :cheer2: Can't wait to meet you!

Cheri

Shell,
tTell your parents that they can come and pick up their snakes at anytime. I'm sure they miss the "pets" they left behind. I have plenty to donate to the cause!!! :lmao:
One day only a couple blocks from home Greg saw a rattlesnake that was sunning himself, it stretched completley across the road!! No place to go accept over him, as did many people.
Since DH is in construction he often walks into new home just being built and there are lots of snakes and scorpions just waiting to say HELLO!! Fire ants too!!! I have found scorpions a few times in the master bath.

Myself I like the turtles and armadillos we have. They are more to my likings.

The exterminator just finished spraying for spiders, so maybe I wont wake up to stepping on them barefoot in the mornings for awhile. :rolleyes1

Kathy

Morning all: well the boss has a meeting this morning so taking advantage of my few moments. I cannot belive how many posts we have already.

Well I have put in for some time off. I have soooo much to do and soooo little time to do it. You know how that goes....gee we have 6 months I have time to get that. Now its wow I have only 4 weeks and I still have to get what :scared1: So I asked for a long weekend to get shopping and house work done before we go.

Kathy: since you just exterminated I may come down for a visit, snakes and bugs, not my favorite things.... :crazy2:

Jeff: the 5 yr old is a boy...Blake the 14 and 10 yr old are girls.

Gotta go phones ringing off the hook here  I cant tell you after working and answering phones all day, when I go home and my phone rings I just want to scream....

Later
Denise

Welcome Lorna. I promise we won't be too much on board. The excitement is getting TOO much for us.

For those who ordered t-shirts, and Lorna its not too late, they are at the printers right now and I would just have to add on.

Here is the price break-down on the shirts.

9.45 s-xl
11.45 for xxl and up
8.95 for kids shirts and baby onezies

The order is suppose to be completed by November 1, but I have a feeling it will be earlier that promised. I will be shipping them USPS as cheaply as possible. I will enclose an invoice in each package with an envelope addressed back to me.

Thank you guys for letting me do this for the group. It’s given me something to look forward too. He He

Have a great Wednesday. And play nice.

There was a song in the 70s by Jim Stafford called "I Don't Like Spiders and Snakes". Does anyone else remember the song? It was one of my favorites!

Hmmm ... doesn't ring a bell. Course I'm not quite as old as you :lmao:

How many others have kids in the 4-6YO range?? I know Sarah's DS is 4. . . My DD is 5. (I should know this from the list Shell has posted, but my mind is too full of other trivial pursuits.)

Cheri

Cheri,
I will have a 4 yo boy and a 6 (about to turn 7 yo girl) and my 13 yo.

Hi everyone, Just found out about DIS boards. My DH, 2 DD ages 10 and 7, my aunt, and my self will be joining you in less than 5 weeks:-) This is our 2nd Disney Cruise. We are very excited!! This is my first time on this message board. It has been fun reading all of the posts.

Welcome and good luck keeping up with the posts. I came on a few months ago and struggle to try and keep up with this group. I don't think I have been very successful at it.

Speaking of not keeping up. Now I'm going to run and try to make Halloween costumes. Nothing like putting it off as long as I can. But skeletons need to be cut out, White witches assembled and sewn, and some how I have to turn and 4yo into Handy Manny.

Hey funny you should mention Jim Stafford. He lives about 45 minutes from my house and performs nightly in Branson. Its a great show. He gets eaten by a huge spider at the end of that song. Fun times.

 Everyone - OMG! You all have been a chatty bunch! I get a job, go to work for two days, come back to the computer, and WOW...it took me forever to read everyone's post.

:welcome: to Lorna and her family.
We are from FL and we are traveling with our son, his wife, Cullen (2), Laura (who will be 9mos.), Stacey (9), my dh, and ME! Esther, she's my son's wife, is the one you have to watch out for! :lmao: (just joking all - the camera is forgiven! :rotfl2: )

Kathy - YES, YES, YES! I love this weather! It feels great to have the cool air. I didn't buy anything at the craft show, oh, wait, I got a basket for pine cones to put by the fireplace. I went to the one in McIntosh not Mt. Dora.
McIntosh is only one day and Mt. Dora is two. I try to hit them both but didn't feel like going to Mt. Dora on Sunday. It would be too late by the time I got back from church and went to lunch.
Steve went to the post office the other day and there was a snake by the door. He had to stomp his feet to get it to move. I would have wet my pants! That's the truth...I hate snakes. We have them in our back yard sometimes too. Maybe more than I know about! I found a snake skin on my back porch and called Stephen over to look for the snake. Steve was in GA at the time and I was afraid to go outside.

The job is OK, I'm not too sure I want to do this. I'm going to give it a few weeks and see how it goes. Poor Cullen is having a time adjusting to all of this.
Hope you all have a good day...see you REAL soon, why...because we can't wait to meet you all!

That would be cool to see his show! :thumbsup2

Hi there, What do the shirts look like? Are we sending the money after the shirts are delivered? I will let you know by tonight if I am ordering.

I guess I tend to be more of a MSU fan than Uof M, but my kids are U of M fans. We are also big TIGERS fans :cheer2: . Bummer we lost last night :sad1:

Lets see what else... We are main seating dinner I think it is 6:30. We leave Thanksgiving day and are spending the 1st 2 nights at Pop Century. Our Friday will be spent at Magic Kingdom princess: Can't wait!

Here ya go Lorna.

Thanks for everything with the shirt Tonya!!!!

You guys are more than welcome. I hope that they turn out ok. Else I will have to walk the plank on the boat.

Doesn't that ticker look good at one month?

Good Job with the shirts, Tonya! (And YOU"RE thanking US for letting you do all the work??? CRAZY WOMAN!) THANK YOU!

I remember that song VERY well - but of course I'm WAY OLDER than you! My dhwas JUST the kinda guy that would have teased me with those had I known him in his early teen age years. Actually he still IS the kinda guy but he knows he'd regret it if he did. I got a big spoon too - a big WOODEN spoon!

OH MY GOSH! IT's one month from TODAY????

Bob,
I hate to admit it, but yes i remeber the song very well!! I can remember walking around singing along to it on a tiny transister radio. :rolleyes1

Do you remember the "Ugly Wife Song"??? Not sure the exact name or who did it, but it says If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife, so from my personal point of view, get an ugly girl to marry you.
It also says something about she sure is ugly, her eyes dont match, but she sure can cook. :lmao:

Does that ring any bells out there??? I love that song.

Tonya,
thanks for doing the shirts, i will have mine on in the termnal for all to see and of course at the meet. people will think we are some kind of big family reunion or a bunch of nuts who just escaped the funny farm :rotfl2:

Where is Bill today?? Did we scare him off??

Pat,
i thought the paper said next weekend is Mt. Dora craft sale and there is one 4 miles west of Leesburg this saturday at Penbroke or something like that. There is a big banner by our wal mart about it. I was hoping to check it out this weekend if I get the time, but now they are saying a chance of rain on the weekend, which may cause some problems for craft sales, which are usually outside.
