Hi everyone,
I hope everyone is having a great day. I am so excited. I got tagged and I totally did not expect it.

Things at home are pretty much the same. I do not know what to do. My Dh thinks she has ADD or ADHD. I do not think that is the problem. I think she is just having a hard time adjusting to the move. I wish she would talk about it.

Hope you all have a great day.

thanks

Lucinda

Hey Guys:

I got the proof back from the printer. As much as I would like to see the mickey mouse ears and the fun things on the suitcase, we would be violating copyright laws (Darn it). So without further adddoooo.......

If you have not ordered shirts, this is the time. I will turn the order in on Friday the 13th.

Have a happy monday all.

Lucinda: Congrats on the Tag. You are in our thoughts and prayers with DD!

Tonya: I LOVE the new shirt design! That is so cool!

Mutt: I hear northerners and mid-westerners all the time when I travel up there saying, "Hey, youse guys wants to go get some pop?"!

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Me and Ds were VERY lazy today and did not go out to Kohl's so we are going to attempt to go either before or after Mommy and Me. Today I did all the on-line check-in for the cruise!! Well going to heat up dinner before DH gets home!! Talk to you later!!

Dutchsmommy: Happy Turkey Day!!!

TiggerKing: I am soooo sorry to hear about your friends!! My thoughts are with their families. Also, Youse guys is known as NY thing!!!

Lucinda: You are in my thoughts and prayers are with your DD.

Tonya: Wow the shirt this great!!

BOB - I'm so sorry about your friends. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Speaking from experience, Church family is "family" and they can mean just as much as the real thing.

LUCINDA - Congrats on the tag! That's really cool :cool1: I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.

TONYA - I LOVE the shirt!!!! :Pinkbounc

I was MIA again this weekend...our Church is hosting a pumpkin patch for the 3rd year in a row and on Sat. afternoon we had over 1200 pumpkins delivered! Imagine what THAT looks like in the back of an 18-wheeler :) My Jazzercise class just moved to a new location so we celebrated our Grand re-opening on Sat as well. Besides all of that we are getting ready to have a garage sale in 2 weeks so we are prepping for that.

DH is traveling until Wed. so it's just me and the kids for a couple of days. I will be sufficiently exhausted by the time he gets back. For one, I don't sleep well at all when he's away (yes, even after almost 13 years of marriage  ) and two because I get to be the sole parent running kiddos here and there.

See you later-

Kelly

Well ... duh! What else is it called besides pop? :rotfl2:

Hello all,

I have a few minutes and thought I'd check in and say hello. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours went pretty well. I was extra rainy for about half of it.

I ordered a new washer and dryer to be delivered next week. I can't even tell you how excited I am about that. They are not the fancy ones I really wanted, but they are nice front loaders. Unfortunately, my laundry room doubles as my pantry. So I had to find ones that would fit properly. But it's just as well since I probably would have paid several more for the others. My new floors are going to be installed next week too. And sometime soon after that, I get a new back door and a set of french doors in the foyer/living room doorway. And hopefully, new bedroom furniture before we leave. I hope we have some money left to spend on the cruise. :p

I do need to pack up several rooms in my house before they start on the floors. I should probably be doing that now, but wanted to read up on the cruise some more. Oh man the Schwans man is here so I need to run.

Tonya - :thumbsup2 like the shirt logo

Lynn - OMG! The pictures are so cute :goodvibes Aren't grandparents the best ;)

I love the Southern talk going on here. It makes me feel like I'm at my MIL's dinner table when her family was visiting.

Lucinda - I am wondering - does your d's teachers notice any change? I really hope things go better for you. Having to deal with your in-laws illness, and a child that is confusing you, can be very difficult for a person to cope with. I hope you have someone who is close to you that you can talk to.

Going to Red Lobster!    (4)

One thing I forgot to add:

Where I grew up in Eastern Ohio, we said Younz or Younz Guys. :confused3 When I moved away in the military, people had no idea what I was saying. When i go home now, it does sound funny. I think it's a very regional thing. I've been in the south for so long now that I'm almost conferted to ya'll.

Tonya,

Lynn,

Oh wow ... I thought the only people that said that were my cousins :rotfl2: That's scary :rotfl2: ! Although they pronounce it more like "yins"

Hey Carrie...did you grow up near Youngstown, by any chance?
Just curious....

Curiousity for you too, Bob...Soda? Soda Pop? Pop? Honestly, I have no idea what its called down south,....Hep a good ol' Ohire boah out hea.....

Mutt, pop as you mistakenly called it is correctly called Coke. :rotfl2: When Mike first moved here yes I know I married a Yankee lord help me, was confused when someone asked him if he wanted a coke he said yes and they asked ok what kind?

Bob, sorry about your friends you are in our prayers

Shell, one more Southerism
Yourmomanem" (noun)- this is when people are inquiring about your parents as "how are your mom an em"? :lmao:

Gotta go stir my red beans it is Monday, For you yankees (MUTT) we all cook red beans on Mondays down here. I believe I have not eaten anything else on a MOnday except when on vacation is my life

Wendy

Tonya, why don't you try a Hidden Mickey on the shirt somewhere? Coconuts in the palm trees, make the thing over the turkey's beak shaped like Mickey. Just a suggestion.

Down here in the south everything is Coke, even if it's a Pepsi it's still a Coke! At least it is around here in my neck of the woods. Guess because Coke is based out of Atlanta.

(See Wendy's post above, looks like we posted at the same time!)

One other thing we say a lot is fixin. I'm fixin to go eat, or I'm fixin to take care of this or that. A guy I work with is from Maryland, and when I say fixin to do something, he says you're what?

Steve

Good Night,

In NY we don't call it POP- we call it soda!! I never heard anybody call soda POP in NY. Well I just wanted to check in and say good night. Have a good night!!

I had a person ask me once how many younguns do I have. I thought he said onions :rotfl2: I thought he wanted to borrow some!
Yes, we say Coke, of course now a days you have to be very careful with that word. Do you say suckers or lollipops?

Going to meet Kathy tomorrow :thumbsup2

Pat

 Evening all....boy it took me forever to catch up on the reading.

Bob: Sorry about your friends...thats terrible. My prayers and thoughts are with you and Lisa.

Tonya :thumbsup2 love the shirts....they are soooo.....us!!!!

Tried to get on at work today....but it was so darn crazy didnt have a chance to. I just dont understand why the people I work with, think that I should have to work... :confused3 its beyound me. I just go to work so I dont have to clean house.... :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Well I thinkk that we can make our 10,000 nana post along with our 4,000 post-post....!!

See, that is another mistake. Geez, we have a long way to go with you! You don't buy a pop, you buy a coke. Coke is a generic term. You ask someone, "Do you want a coke?" and when they say "Yes", you ask them what kind! Of course, in the old south this was referred to as Sodie Water!

Sounds to me like he already DID help you ... by finding you a fine Yankee gentleman :lmao:
