Oh, and forgot to mention....With all this talk of 'A Christmas Story' - did you know it was filmed in St Catherines Ontario?? That is only about 45 mins from us and I have family there. So, trivia for the day. We LOVE that movie as well. definately a Christmas tradition.

Ah, but you forget ... the Christmas parade scene, the Higbee's department store ... those scenes were filmed in downtown Cleveland!

Bob, sorry to hear that the scavenger hunt wasn't well attended. I don't think there's anything worse than putting time and effort into something and it doesn't turn out like you planned But now I see that kissing firemen was involved ... so maybe you and Lisa can put one together for all of us on the cruise ?!

For those of you that actually have baseball teams that are still playing ... this is for you . Actually Bill and I saw a 2007 Cleveland Indians calendar in Borders the other day. It was really nice, but October was missing (OK, that was Bill's joke, I can't take credit)

Hi all. I feel Like i've been gone from the board forever. I had pages to catch up on. Not much new here. I changed banks yesterday due to some customer service issues with our previous lender (someone I had been with for more than 20 years). It was actually an exhausting experience even though the new bank is doing everything to make it as easy as possible. I think that wore me out for three days! Now I have to get some work done to catch up on what I didn't do yesterday.

After reading incredible reviews, I watched a bit of Friday Night Lights last night. It was a great show and may be my second "must tape" show of the week in addition to the Amazing Race. I dunno how I'll keep up on it all.

Oh and for you Lost afficianados, I started renting the first two seasons to watch while I'm stuck at airports or sitting on planes and now I'm hooked. the only problem is that I'm almost a year behind. So if you are going to talk about it here I am going to have to stay away! I think I'm on episode nine from the second season. The tailies just came into camp with the original crew. What an incredibly well written show this is. The character development is like nothing I've ever seen on TV before.

Ok enough rambling. Back to work for me!

Still quiet here today.
I made some sugar free chocolate no bake drop cookies today. I hope they taste good. I re-vamped a favorite cookie receipe. I will let DH be the guinea pig after work to try them before anybody else does. If he doesnt get sick, then others can have some too!!

Afternoon all....I left work early today, an noon. Waiting for Wally to get home so we can go to the DMV and bank to get his drivers license and our bank card fixed. So since I have a few moments, why waste time doing something constructive so here I am.

Wendy that was such a cute story about your son: I didnt write down stuff, but this is my favoriate story of my son. He is now 24 and would most likely shoot me if he knew I was telling people this story. He was about 3 years old. He had this short outfit, black shorts and a gray short shirt, which showed off his tummy. So when he would be out playing, his sister and her friend who were about 5 yrs old...would say to him...."What a sexy boy"....he hated it, he would come in the house crying and say make them stop saying that...I would just kinda laugh and say one of these days, you are going to want the girls to say that.....but he just hated it....I think he thought it was something bad at that time.... Oh well...such fond memories. They grow so fast...so treasure every moment.

Just wanted to check in and see what is going on!! Going to bath DS and get ready to watch the Yankees and flip to see who gets thrown off DWTS. My vote is for Wilma.
