Good Morning Everyone! I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Sunday before I start getting ready for church. Looks like most everybody has had a good weekend so far!

Only :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc more days of work!

Good Morning    ,
It's a cold and chilly 40 degrees here in NY. Well I have to run to Party City to get DH's balloon and get Itailan bread. Well today we are having my in-laws over for DH's birthday. After they leave DH is going to finish packing. Well I am going to make French Toast for breakfast. I will be back on after my running around!  Have a great day :woohoo: :woohoo:

5 days till we go to Orlando :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Happy Sunday to all,
I thought I'd better warn everyone that the weather in Florida isnt quite what you want right now :sad2:
The predicitons through Wednesday is highs in the 60's and our lows and in the upper 30's and low 40's. But we will have :sunny:

Now I know we Floridians did say the weather would be warm and sunny, but this is NOT our fault!!! Right Pat?? :confused3

I did write to Santa and asked him to please ask Mother Nature to give us a beautiful warm Saturday next week. So if it's still cold it is Santas fault!
Of course I may be on his naughty list this year, can't say why, but that may have something to do with the weather :rolleyes1

So keep your jackets handy, you may just need them on Saturday morning.

Glad to hear everyone is about ready to go!!

Sarah, here is some pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: so your pirate outfit will arrive in time!!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Kathy

Good Morning Nanas soon to be Cruising Nanas!!!

I have a question for the females on this thread. This means guys, skip this post!!! I am going to do something tomorrow night that I have never done in my entire life and I am 55+ years old! A pedicure! I need suggestions about nail color. Should I go subtle soft pink, bright red? As an "old lady" trying something new in my life, I need help! Also, how long will the nail color last? Such problems to ponder on a Sunday morning.

Doing the cruise dance :dance3: as I have three days of work left and 5 days until we get on the plane.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Jan

Kathy...I've been keeping a pretty close eye on the weather on weatherchannel.com...
according to them, (at least today) its going to be 75 and sunny...seems as we get closer, the forcast keeps getting better---lets keep our fingers crossed!!!!
Have a good day everyone...I'm gonna go to the gym and fret about how many days I skipped and how many desserts I'll have to skip....grrrrr.....its hell being Dom Delouises' stand-in.

Morning all: Wow, I just cant believe a week from today will be our first full sea day....... :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I will be up at sunrise taking pictures of everything......Kathy.....ya better hope Santa listens to ya. At this point 60 degrees is fine as long as there is sun and no rain......I can deal with that.

Well we have decided to hold off on our little drive into chicago for today....which means I can get my cleaning done and finish up some packing. People at work think I'm nuts for packing so early. But when I explain to them that most of it is stuff I am not wearing anyways, then they seem to understand... The key word there is "seem to" :teeth:

Yup three more working days here also......and they better go darn fast.....

Well just finished up breakfast, now I have to go and finish cleaning up the mess in the kitchen.

I am also thinking may have to take my dog Jack to the vets tomorrow, it looks like he may have an eye infection. I'm telling ya, if it aint one thing with dogs its another. :confused3

Well I will be back later....everyone have a great morning....

Denise

Very chilly here!!!
Kathy

Hey All     ,
Well just finished starrting the table and preparing dinner for later. DH was   rolling his eyes when he saw the tablecloth had Happy 30th Birthday on it. I just said wait till I get the balloons!!! Well I am off to shower and then Party City. I will talk to you after my in-laws leave. Hope everyone has a good day!!

Good Morning Fellow Turkeys and Bananas

DS isn't doing so well right now  but hopefully later today things will start improving. If he has the virus that's been flying around that's about the timetable for it..otherwise it's off to the Dr. in the morning.

Well..our tree is up and the lights are on and the house is starting to look festive and clean! We've got some more stuff to do today with the outside decorating but I think by tonight we will be in good shape. I plan to actually put stuff in suitcases and bags today to see where we're at and to go over a checklist at the same time. I think I've been able to keep the shoes to a minimum (yay) and later I will sort thru jewely and extras. Things are coming together nicely. Now if only I could find time to get my nails done!

We've also been watching weather.com and it's looking pretty good for Saturday...let's keep our fingers crossed!

I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Kathy - this is totally selfish on my part, but I would LOVE some cold weather right now. We have been bizarrely hot in California. Our thermostat registered 88 degrees in my bedroom LAST NIGHT! Doesn't Arnold know that it's November. Oh...right....it's not his fault. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good morning, Banana Heads

It's so weird ... I was expecting so much chaos (I was going to write KAOS but thought it might date me) this weekend in final preparations for the cruise, but honestly I think we have everything under control. Well, everything except Guido. He keeps trying to put toys and treats in the suitcases and we keep trying to explain that when we say "WE'RE going on a cruise" that it doesn't include him. :rotfl:

The forecast right now for here shows Friday to be in the 50s, so my worst fear of not making it to the airport due to a blizzard is slowly dying. Course, in Ohio, that can change in a heartbeat.

Jan, good for you!! I'm a tad flamboyant, so I'm going to have flowers and crystals on my toes. I was going to get a hidden Mickey but my husband would probably never stop rolling his eyes at me.

Since this is your first you probably want to do a nice Coral shade. If you're feeling adventurous you could get a red color. If they put a couple top coats of clear on them, they should last the whole cruise. If you need a touch up you'll have the perfect excuse to go to the spa :cloud9:

Make sure you bring sandals with you to the salon, so you don't smudge them right away.

Have fun! :thumbsup2

5 days until we leave! Woo-Hoo! Everything is officially packed except for the last minute stuff that I will pack on Thursday like the cell phone charger, homework :crazy2: , etc.

My kids have a half day on Wednesday and they've already been "warned" that they will spend that time working on the homework so they don't have to bring so much along.

Now for important stuff...toenail polish color. For this crucial decision, I like to take my swimsuit color into consideration and also weigh outfit shades as well. For me, it will be a reddish-coral.

Next week, we'll be "at sea!"

Anyone call to find out what movies they're showing onboard? My kids want to see Santa Claus 3 and I'm hoping that Pirates 2 will be playing since it will be coming out on DVD the Tuesday after we get home.

Okay, here are the movies --

Cars
Chicken Little (yay!)
Deja Vu
8 Below
Narnia
Pirates (Dead Man's Chest)
Santa Claus 3
Shaggy Dog
The Guardian
The Prestige
The Wild
Stick it
Step Up
Invincible.

I just  the people at the Reservation line. They're so helpful :cheer2:

Our Wonderful Disney Cruise: How I See it All Unfolding

An Essay

At 7 a.m., Dad awakes us, saying "WE ONLY HAVE 5 HOURS TO GET YOU THERE! GET UP!" even though it's only a 2-hour drive, tops. Ah, Dad yelling at get me up. Just like the old days. I sure hope he's forgotten about the turn-on-the-lights-in-the-bedroom-that'll-wake-your-a**-up trick.

As we travel towards Port Canaveral with Mom and Dad, we cross over the massive 1A bridge and behold the beauty of the Disney Magic. In the back seat, Bill and I become giddy and giggle like school children, making Dad gun it, just to get us the "heck" of out of the car. Hugs and good-byes, "have a nice trip", and we're off to check in.

As we go into the terminal, the fresh smell of alcohol and dead crawfish lingers. We know that Mike and Wendy have dutifully arrived before us.

So much to look at, so many to see ... we look for green shirts. We see one! We consult the cruisemate list ... is it? Yes! That's her! We grab that person from behind, whip her around, and realize that we have no idea who she is. The front of the shirt says, "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine." Drat! A crummy commercial! We apologize profusely to the frightened unidentified co-cruiser, making note to avoid her throughout the rest of the trip, and head towards the ship.

After the initial running around, eating, etc., we make our way to the Family Meet with regional gift in hand. I wonder how my tiara will look over my tuque? I think it will work.

Every member of the crew knows Kathy and Greg on a first-name basis. Jeff sits at the bar buying drinks for ... just about everyone at this point (Go Browns!). Steve thanks me again for Pat's makeover, Stephen curses me for it. Bob resigns himself to the fact that he cannot get the captain to change the ship's horn to the Dukes of Hazzard theme. From across the room, I see a vision ... yes, it's Dream Boat Wally  . I run to get my hug, but find that I have to stand in line for my turn.

And that's just some of how I see it all unfolding.

Good morning everyone!

A beautiful :sunny: windy & cold morning here! :sad2: At least the sun is out and I'm not planning to do any outdoor projects.

I'm just taking a break from straightening the house & doing laundry. Going to finish packing everything that can be packed now, and then will throw the rest of the stuff together Thursday night or Friday morning. I'm also going to split up our clothes so we each have a few changes of clothes in each suitcase. We've never ever had lost luggage, so I'm preparing for it!

pixiedust: pixiedust: to anyone who is, was, or is thinking about getting sick! :grouphug: :grouphug: to anyone with loved ones with ailments.

Can you believe we're under a week???? :hourglass Time is flying by!

Talk to everyone later!

Thanks for calling them Lauri! We've never watched a movie onboard and are looking forward to it IN LESS THAN 1 WEEK!!!
