Good Evening All,
Wanted to see what is going on!! In the progress of making Veggie burgers. Going to finish before I burn dinner!! Talk to you all later!!

I need ideas for a door sign??

Good afternoon everyone!

Lynn, thanks for coming through for us with Woo's hair!!! I used to be able to do DD's hair reasonably well, but since she was a moving target, I always had an excuse if it was messy!!!

Shell -- love the newest Ralphie quote!! Also, did you ever see the video for "I Wanna Rock"? It had some of the people/characters from Animal House. That fact that I can clearly remember it is a bit sad! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Gift Exchange -- I could be wrong, but I think part of the reason we went away from "Secret Santa" was that we were afraid someone might take gifts left outside the staterooms. :confused3 :confused3 I vote to keep things as simple as possible, but I'll go along with whatever everyone else decides. :thumbsup2

Off to Rockford to do a bit of shopping (I didn't go yesterday). DD needs more things for school -- there's always something!

I'll try to touch base again later.

Cheri

Hi everyone,

Woo does Mutt really bite??
If so ,keep an eye on him, he is gonna scare off Geoff :scared1:

I think we will have plenty of time to do the gift exchange at the meet because there are only about a dozen of us that have agreed to exchange gifts. we just need to get right to it as we are visiting with each other.

Well we got a friend for a dog sitter, :woohoo: so now I feel much better about it. Minnie already knows this person too, that should make it much easier on her and my nerves.

well it was a peaceful day around here today. We are headed back up to the 90s in a couple of days. :sunny: I wish our winter weather would come and stay for a few months, I am tired of the heat!!!

Kathy

Good Night    ,

Just finished dinner!! I still feel terrible :sad2: :sad2: with this sinus/cold!! Well I am going to give DS a bath and hopeful he will go right to sleep !! Well will talk to you tomorrow!! :grouphug:

Kathy: Send some 90 degree :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: weather to NY!! We are frost on the cars in the mornings and it has been a very chilly day today!!

Do you think that Santa Claus :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: 3 movie will premire on the ship???

Hey Kathy....you should be happy to have a lil heat.... this is the alternative...it was taken from our front door shortly after our thanksgiving cruise last year. C'mon up and visit!!!

Evening all: Well lets see: first I have to say......Mutt...that was NOT a very nice picture that you posted......bad boy!!!!!! That just gives me the chills looking at it. Yuk...

Gift exchange lets just keep it at the lounge.....and by the way...even though my sister has not posted...she has some really weird problem with her computer...will not let her get a sign on here...I even tried...anyhow, she would like to be part of the gift exchange. So add one more to the list (Marge).

Actually for a Monday it was not that bad. Since I didnt work friday, I figured I would be busy on catch up work. I was done and caught up by lunch time....so the afternoon was the longest afternoon of my life........it just dragged by.

Talk with you all later tonight....
Denise

Linda,
you think all those    are driving you nuts,
try counting all of them from the first post up to the present

Kathy, I can only say this - YOU HAVE WAY WAY WAAAAAAAAAAAY too much time on your hands! :rotfl:

Didn't realize there was concern about theft. THAT is a darn crime! I withdraw my suggestion.

A friend of mine is studying Organizational behavior. He says research shows most people use less than 20% of their brain at work. Do you think that's true? Denise was bored by noon. I'm bored even when busy. We won't even speculate about Kathy and her bouncing bananas . . . How much of your brain do you use on the job?

Fixing ta use 'none' here - zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hey all, just checking in so you don't completely forget about me. We have been extremely busy. The new floors are being installed this week, so we've had to pack and move furniture and things out of the way. I didn't realize how much work it was going to be. But they got a lot of the Pergo wood floors in today. So they might be able to finish sooner and I can start redecorating like I want. We bought a new computer desk and chair. It's a roll top and should look very nice.

I still have done nothing to prepare for the cruise. But I do have several questions. I don't have time to ask them now but they'll be coming soon.

We have decided to put the dog in the kennel while we are going. (if she is still around) She has been doing quite well, but the tumor is growing extremely large. I may have to take her back and have it checked for another infection. We were going to leave her with my MIL, but I just don't trust her to be responsible for all her meds. And I don't want her making any major health decisions. So we will board her, but she won't be happy about it.

Well, need to run. We have to have the TV moved before we go to bed.

Adding to the count: (15)

Linda- Here is what I have learned about the time-suck at work vs. what you can really get done when you are planning for yourself. As a corporate VP muckety muck, i spent most of my time in meetings, on mindless conference calls and dealing with personnel issues. I'm not sure how I kept up my skills for the past seven years, really. Over the past year while working for myself (tomorrow is the first anniversary of my striking out on my own with my consulting business) I have found huge chunks of time to think and do. I work half has much, make twice as much money and am a different human being - more relaxed, more fun and I have more time with my family. My conclusion is that corporate America has sucked the life out of all of us who are a part of it and that's why we have spent so much time bored while in our offices.

Wow Jeff...that really makes me feel better about going to work in the morning..... :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Sorry Denise.
That's just my experience...obviously not everyone has the same thing going on. I was just relating to Linda's comment about using a small percentage of your brain at work and my conclusions because of it.

Good night all you nanas & turkeys!

Lynn, pixiedust: maybe this will help you feel better. Also, I forgot to ask if you've ever tried baby Ora-Jel for for DS when teething. I use it on DD when she has canker sores or other mouth owies. Seems to work well (I tried it myself! :thumbsup2 ). It may help numb his gums for a while so he (and you) can get some sleep.

Kathy, send some of that nice weather up here to us as well! It was a gray drizzly day -- at least there was no frost! Unfortunately, Mutt's picture looks quite familiar. :sad2: Hopefully we won't see that scene for several weeks. Also, glad to hear you found a Minnie-sitter! One less thing to worry about.

Linda -- I'm sure the "crime rate" on the ship is pretty low, but perhaps it's best not to take any chances. I've heard reports of disappearing door signs. . .

Carrie, sounds like you are very busy! I'll bet it's exciting to redorate on such a large scale! :cool1: Hope your dog keeps hanging in there. It's so hard to deal with a sick pet. Our beagle had cancer and had to be put to sleep about 3 1/2 years ago. :sad1:

Jeff, I know what you mean about going into business for yourself (and therefore using more problem-solving / thinking skills). DH and I used to be high school teachers and coaches. We figured out that we worked 52+ weeks' worth of time during the school year. Long story short -- we're now in a situation where the harder/smarter we work, the more it pays off. Plus, we aren't so burned out by May that we HAVE to have a summer vacation. We have yet to regret our career change (and yes, we work together!!!!).

I bought DD's pirate outfit tonight -- pretty basic -- just a POTC t-shirt with Orlando Bloom on it and some funky capri's. Both on clearance -- saved enough for a drink or two at dinner, Shell! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well, looks like the Bears might get their first loss tonight. They just have not played well compared to previous weeks.

Have a wonderful evening all youze guys!

Haha First One On - a Record for Me

Well, Drew and Kathy must have slept in this morning LOL :lmao: :hourglass

OK, gotta go get ready for work.

I like the idea of doing the gifts in the lounge at our meet.
That way we can see what wacky (and fabulous!) things everyone brought!

It was so cold this morning here. There was a thick layer of frost on our car and we had the heat on high most of the way to work. :cold:

Sarah,
Yep ,you beat me on today, my internet service was down at 5 a.m. when I tired to get on line. It was 6:30 before I could get on line.

Linda,
I dont use my brain at all, if I can help it. :lmao: no outside job, guess that is why I count dancing    !!

Pgfour, I am sending lots of :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: your way. We are suppose to hit 90 by tomarrow!! I want my winter weather!!

I will check back later to see how everyone is doing today,

right now I am off to :happytv: the Beverly Hillbillies!!

Kathy

Good Morning Everyone    ,
Oh, do I wish Drew (DS) slept in!!! We were up at 5:30am. DS is a clock he gets up at 5:30am every morning!! Today is another very cold and rainy morning here in NY. Suppose to rain all day :sad2: :sad2:.Today I am off to Mommy and Me and maybe the mall to walk around. I have to see how I feel!! Right now I feel like crawling back into bed princess: !! Well today I have to call and make and appointment for DS's Christmas Pictures. I want to get them done before we go on the cruise. Well let me get a load of wash :laundy: :laundy: in and get DS  dressed.

Looks like the Bears record remains intact for you Cheri.....they sure squeeked that one out. (the Cards reminded me of my "dear" Browns...the bums).

I have a rare day off of work today...dr's appt. Its so nice to lounge around in the morning and wave bu-bye to the wife as she dashes through the chilly rain to the garage. It'd be nice to have a decent day out for a run later on but I guess thats just not in the cards. I guess I'll spend the day learning the cake decorating business. Ok, enough of my ramblins....have a good day everyone      39 days!
