just took my two nieces and we all had a great time! Lunch was delicious and being up close to the animals was incredible. And the guides took lots of pictures that we got off their website (Disney's)...

I did it last April and I was the only person on the tour. It was amazing! I had two tour guides all to myself, they took great pictures throughout, and the lunch was delicious.

So do you think we could skip the Kilimanjaro Safari ride if we are doing WAT? Or is it better to do both? Thanks

We did it the first year it started. We enjoyed it!

One of the best things we have ever done at Disney and we are at Disney multiple weeks per year. Yes, you could skip the safari. Your personal safari truck that is included with the tour takes the same route thru the safari.

We are doing WAT in December and also will be doing the regular safari ride as well, so many animals.

It's the best kept "secret" at WDW, IMHO. We loved it, and you can skip the safari if you are pressed for time. You see the same things, but more, on your trek.
