I understand that Wii resort comes w/ a motion plus controller. Does it come w/ a nunchuck as well? I'm thinking not. We have 3 controllers w/ nunchucks currently, but would love to have a set of 4.

Do some the resort games use the nunchuck?

It comes with a motion plus controller, which is just a plug in for a current Wii controller you have and no additional numchuck.

Oh--thanks for the clarification:thumbsup2. So I need to get a controller, and a nunchuck.

Thanks again

Correct, and you need to buy the motion plus controller separately for any other remotes you have. I think it was $10. And if you want more numchucks, you'll need to buy those too for about $20.

Love Resort.
Numchuck is used in Resort.

I'm frankly not all that impressed with the Motion plus. It doesn't make it worse, but it doesn't make it that much better, either. But Sports Resort is an awesome game! I literally sat there for three hours the other day, just in the swordplay section!

There is a version of Sports resort that comes with 2 motion plus attachments (I bought this version for Christmas, I think it was 59.99 at Best Buy).
No, it doesn't come with a nun-chuck attachment.
The motion plus does make a difference when playing (although honestly I don't feel like it makes as much of a difference as advertised, but it does make a difference).
I believe the only way you can actually play Sports Resort is WITH the motion plus attachment on your controller. So if you have 2 controllers, and only 1 motion plus attachment, you can actually only use the 1 controller with the motion plus on it. I could be wrong (I haven't actually tried to play without the MP attachment), but I'm pretty sure the game does require the attachment to play.
Some of the games do require the nun-chuck attachment (which simply connects to the back of the Motion Plus attachment), but not all the games.

My DD wants to use the end of her Christmas $$ for it. I kind of feel guilty:guilty:;), since I'm sure I will enjoy it.

Motion Plus - an adapter about 1 inch long that plus into the Wiimote - retails around $17.99-$19.99

You can get a Wiimote that comes with a Motion Plus as a combo for cheaper than buying each separately, so if you need a 4th Wiimote this would be the way to go.

You'd also need an extra nunchuck to go with the 4th person.

So if you buy Wii Sports Resort with one Motion Plus (lot of places have it on sale for $39.99 right now), you would need to buy:

1 extra Wiimote/Motion combo
1 extra Nunchuck
2 extra Motion Plus
Wii Sports Resort would provide the 4th Motion Plus

Sports Resort is quite fun - big improvement over the original Wii Sports if for no reason than having like 12 games instead of 4 games, plus the add on extra levels you unlick (just like the original).

Alas, the Motion Plus is currently really only used in about 4 games. Hopefully they'll make more in the future. For games that use it you must have it to play them, for other games the MP does no good at all since the game programming doesn't use it so you may as well take it off for those games (though you can certainly leave it on).
