Wii Fit - Update and Report

That soccer game reminds me of dodgeball in elementary school, and I had a flashback to the playground oh so many years ago. I also felt slightly insulted that the other avatars were throwing stuff at my head.

I have balance issues in real life, so I guess it would make sense that I have them on the Wii as well. I'm hoping that my balance improves over time.

My next goal is to STOP HITTING the television screen with my racket during Wii Tennis! :rotfl:

I love my wii fit too, but I would agree with the posters who said don't obsess over the BMI every day. I have been looking at it every day and I've found that I've actually been feeling more negative about myself when the wii tells me I've gained weight from the day before. Dangerous. I should probably limit the body test to every few days.

Other than that, I really like it. I feel like the yoga and strength exercises are great...I want to work on my abs and there are some great exercises in there. The soccer scares me a little. Not a fun feature when you get hit in the face with a cleat. Oof!:confused3

I finally made it to the bronze pig last night! A few minutes in the pig got all wonky and changed colors. I sorta miss the plain ol pig I have to admit though.

We pre-ordered this (5 bucks to hold it at Game Stop) but then I ended up changing my mind and never picked it up. I'm definitely rethinking that now and plan to head out this weekend to buy one. Sounds like a BLAST and from reading this there's more to it than I first thought.

How hard is it to find in stores? We look at Wii games every time we go to Walmart but I've never seen it there.

I can't find it yet - but I live in a fairly small city....:sad1: But, I keep looking....

We got ours the day it was released and love it, now my sister wants it for Christmas. I looked everywhere for it and it was nowhere to be found until Sunday. I scanned the sale papers and saw it at a few stores, so first thing I ran to Target and they had 10 on the shelf so I was finally able to get my sister one for Christmas. They sell quickly so my suggestion is to look at the sale papers and then pounce. I think with the holidays coming they will offer them more often, but still in a limited quantity.

I am addicted to the step aerobics, I just unlocked free step last night and although I find the free step a little boring I certainly got a good work out.

Okay...I have been using my Wii Fit for about 3 weeks now and have no idea what you are talking about!

As you progress with hours you get "rewards" from the fit. The pig (time counter guy) turns different colors and you get new stamps to mark the calender.
Just little things to keep you interested after you have unlocked everything. Although I did unlock the expert tightrope this week. How many other games have 3 levels? I have only opened two on most of them.

That is too funny. I have been working on wii fit for over a month now as well and I never noticed there was a pig face on that clock. I just went to do my workout and was looking at it, thinking "what in the world was she talking about?", and then lo and behold! There it was! I cannot believe I never noticed!:rotfl2:

Most of the aerobics games have 3 levels, but they're in duration...super hula hoop goes up to 10 minutes. Believe me, 10 minutes is a long time to hula hoop!

I have unlocked all if not most of those (hula, boxing, running). The step seems to only have two levels right? The soccer seems to have 3 levels right? What about the ball in the hole game? Or the ski jumping or the slalom?

silly question, but does it come with a hula hoop? :confused3 Just curious. Thanks.

No, it doesn't. You stand on the balance board and as long as you keep swinging your hips in a circle your mii on the screen in front of you keeps hula hooping...and like 5 hula hoops at once! :cheer2: I can't keep a hula hoop going in real life, but in the game I'm a champ!

Thanks! I took a closer look today, and realized that the credit counter does have a pig face and tail. I guess now I get to look forward to him changing colors! Oh, that and the expert tightrope! The advanced is my favorite balance game.

:cool1: I have had a wiifit since they came out I love it.
I have unlocked advaced in just about all.
Strart with the yoga, strength training then balance games.
You can also increase the times on almost everything.
It's a great workout. I usually spend about 1-2 hours a day total on it.:worship:
However my only regret was introducing the kids to it.
I cannot beat the high scores anymore. Thanks to someone whos a toothpick.
Will keep trying though!:woohoo:

I have the WII and the fit and I love it.

For those looking to get one, I would suggest checking your local sunday paper store ads and if you see it go straight to the store and get it. I got both my wii and fit at Target, both different times, but they were both advertised and I went first thing when the opened.
