Wigs and cosplay on Castaway Cay?

I'm going on a HotHS cruise and since I'll already have a wig for my Ariel costume, I'm thinking about bringing it to the beach for some water shots (my swimsuit is Ariel-inspired). Then, if I'm already doing that, I have a sparkly purple dress that packs small and reminds me of her dress from the end of the movie. Any issue with bringing these on the island? It wouldn't be a professional shoot, just my husband snapping some shots. I'd stay on the adults-only side.

Just remember that you cannot take pictures with other (read: non-family) guests when you're in costume.

I'm with @darnheather about the sand. Do you really want to risk getting it all sandy?

I'll wait to put it on until I'm at Serenity Bay so no kids come up to me. I have a different cover up I want to wear exiting the ship in hopes of running into characters.

Sand shakes off easily, so I'm not too worried about it. Moreso I'm worried about the effects of salt water on the dress, but I got it free years ago and have worn it once so it would be worth it. Actually the part I'm really worried about is the damage the dress might do to the wig. The sequins snag on everything. It was messing up my tights and pulling at my real hair. It's mid-range cheap wig so very hard to keep nice. It's going to tangle so much. At least the back is open, so there's less fabric where most of the hair is.
