What is the availability for WiFi Internet service at RPH and the entire Universal Resort. Debating whether to bring laptop or not.

we had it free at Christmas time with just Blue status...maybe things have changed since then.

This was one of the biggest complaints we had while staying at PBH - paid a pretty penny for a hotel room but had to pay $9.99 per day if we wanted Wi-Fi in our room. However, there were several "hot spots" throughout the courtyard of the hotel where we could log on for free. We brought the laptop and used it in the morning while eating breakfast and coffee. Assume all of the Universal hotels have same set up

is there a map of the hot spots that anyone knows of?

i read in kelly monaghan's book that wifi is free in club level rooms, yes?

still debating whether to bring the laptop; are there in room safes? and, would you leave a laptop with bell services? we expect to arrive at PBH circa 11:30a.m. and don't expect our room to be ready, but want to head to the park. is it safe to leave a laptop behind?

Yes, there are in-room safes. According to YouFirst's website, internet is free starting at the Blue Level.

Every time we go, I take one of my laptops, I have to still do a bit of work (just basically answering emails, little stuff like that) but I have never had a problem, and we have stayed on-site twice a year for 3 years now, with the lappy along every time. If you are worried about some nosy employee who cleans the room rummaging through your hardrive take these precautions,

1.Hide it under a bed or chair
2.the best way is to password protect your bios, so windows won't even start without the password. (I'm assuming Mac has something similar)

Just my opinion and experience!
