"If we don't eat every 5 hours each of their bodies will go into an anorexic state and start eating itself"

Well, don't you think that the possibility that your stomach will eat itself is a sign that your diet is screwed up?!

I don't understand the not driking water thing. I wonder if having to eat every 5 hours has anything to do with them getting dehydrated. Our bodies need water and you can get it in various ways but how much can you get from raw meat?

They usually pick 2 extreme couples that can really learn something from the others, but this time they went far on one-side and if I were City couple, I would be VERY unhappy about the whole thing. They just used a nice couple to expose the strangest couple they could for good TV!!

Although I think the city family was "normal", I think their issues were completely overlooked because of the raw diet. They were obsessed with appearances and the dad was a little pushy picking everyone's clothes. If they had been swapped with a family with someone who had some kind of medically caused appearance defect (like that family who grows hair all over their faces) we would all be focused on how shallow the city family was.

I can't believe they are not going to investigate that family. I'm hoping that their "unschooling" was exaggerated. Generally it means learning through curiosity and has some parallels to Montessori methods. The son said he had researched feng shui online so I'm guessing they are at least literate.

Better yet she feeds her family at 2 am and the daughter gets up at 8 am to make the brother his breakfast. I guess they can count eggs better than hours. That is 6+ hours/

Well it probably takes an hour to choke down that goo so 8am sounds about right for round 2

I watched the show with my sister who brought her troubled teen to live with my family and she was agreeing with all they Raw family said... my sister says to me to avoid this stuff due to chemicals...no deoderant, no cosmetics, no soap except ivory, no sunscreen and no chemiclas for cleaning the house..and so on and so on because it causes cancer and health problems...however she is telling me this as she is smoking her cigerette ...

O' yes no need to use toothpaste or go to the dentist after 40 because you no longet get cavities...WHAT

this was me listening to her I love my sister but.........lol

I've been thinking about RAW Wife and her "Bacteria are our friends" spiel.

Granted, some bacteria are beneficial to good health. But I can't think of a single virus that is, and that cesspool that they called a house was brimming with them. Child protective services in the State of Iowa is completely derelict in not protecting those kids. That home wasn't just "untidy," it was a festering lab experiment for any number of infectious diseases.

Anyone that lives in such a messy, dirty environment is obviously dealing with mental health issues. Depression, OCD, or even delusional psychosis can all manifest as that type of living conditions.

Not totally the same thing, but close -

My dog is on a raw food diet and she drinks very little water. She gets so much water from the meat, that her water consumption drops. If I put her back on kibble, she starts gulping it down again.

Maybe it's the same with humans. I have no idea and I don't plan to find out!

I know all about the BARF (biologically appropriate raw foods) diet for animals, but I had no idea that humans did it too!
