I already just love the funeral director's wife!!! She seems like a really fun person who's looking out for the girls on the bus. I just loved how in the beginning of the show, she got all excited about getting this family a house and changing the little girls' lives. You gotta love a person who gets so happy about helping other people. If there were more people like this in the world, the world would be a better, happier place, I'm sure.
The funeral director needs to get hit upside the head with a clue by four. Same with the bus daddy.

You know the Wifeswap thread where it was pointed out that there's always one in the show who doesn't 'get it'?

I'm thinking it'll be the bus dad. It's a great idea for a summer or something but those girls are sooooo excited....

How much more selfish can the bus dad be? He only cares about how everything affects him. Poor girls!

OMG, If bus dad takes this away and makes those kids live on a bus, I'm going to be so upset.. Bus dad is so selfish.

Wow, the funeral dad is great. I hope he can keep it up.

It's funny how this show is more about the dads changing then the moms. Though the fun mom may need to rethink that no chores rule. That's just plain crazy.

That bus dad maded me crazy..yikes what a freak. He couldn't leave that bus alone for a week?? Freak! I do feel bad for those kids, you can tell they miss their old life so much!

I agree that the bus family needs to rethink how things are going for them. It was obvious that the girls were very unhappy as was the wife it seemed. I however could not stand the funeral home wife. I know she had the right ideas, but it was the way she came across. Maybe it was her voice. And I'm sorry, but to throw up because you had to stand on the hose for the sewer line - talk about drama. She didn't have to touch anything and if she had ever cleaned her bathroom (it didn't look like she did much cleaning ) she would be much closer to touching poop than what she had to do - just too much drama in that woman for me.

No :sad2: . They're still on the road I guess so daddy doesn't have to work. They did join a homeschooler group so they can do activities with other kids. What kills me is that one of the girls said she was so far behind the other kids in school. It doesn't sound like they're learning much and I don't think their parents care. It's sad really.

She helps retrieve dead bodies and she's probably changed a few diapers in her lifetime. I don't think she was gagging from the idea of the sewage, but from the SMELL. I'd hardly say the idea of poop bothered her. I'd be gagging too especially if I had to smell toilet sewage that had been sitting in the tank for a few days. YUCK.

Overall I really liked the Funeral family. They seemed nice. I kind of felt bad for the funeral Dad, because his business is so unpredictable. Anyone that works shiftwork has a harder time keeping 9-5 hours.

The bus dad drove me nuts. His over the top ideas about the influences the girls might encounter in school were ridiculous. I think it was just his way to rationalize his little bus hobby. I felt bad for the girls. Children need space away from their parents at times. I can only imagine how claustrophobic they feel. Even the poor cat and dog need somewhere to get away from people from time to time.

Those poor bus girls are being held prisoner by their Dad. He obviously is a control freak  When they showed the party with all the friends and family that the girls had not seen in 2 1/2 years they said that they had not seen their own (extended) family because he (bus dad) would not alow them to see them. At the end I thought the bus mom would finally put her foot down about their lifestyle because it was hurting the girls but then she just chickened out because she "didn't want to hurt him"!!!
I'm glad the funeral dad finally saw the light and is spending more time with his family. At least one good thing came out of this show.

To me, what that father did was close to child abuse.

At the risk of being flamed...I believe authoritys need to have more control over homeschool kids. From what they showed last night, they were not getting the education that they deserved.

IMHO, the father was a control freak not allowing his children any "life" outside his realm is a form of child abuse. These children wanted to go to school to be normal, and I thought for a minute the wife was going to stand up for these kids..but she ended up backing down and letting psycho DAD have total control.

My question is how can they join a home school club if they are travelling in the bus still?

Bus dad was a freak. He views the kids as his possesions and not as real family members. No my kids dont dictate every aspect of our lives but he is doing more harm to those girls than good. They dont want to travel around in a bus, they want school, friends, activities--just normal things kids want. He acted like he would be spoiling his kids by giving them stability and a "normal" life. He is very selfish.
I didnt care for the funeral home wife. Though she had some of the right idea's about what the girls wanted but not the best method of getting that across.

How did the bus people get money?? Neither worked.

When he said something to the effect of "you don't change your life for the kids" I was floored. I understand that you don't let the kids run the home or make all the decisions, but I don't know any parent that hasn't "changed their lives for the kids"!

I don't get it. They could have a "home base" and still be able to homeschool and do lots of traveling while enabling the kids to have some sense of belonging to a community.
