Wierdest name you've ever heard

Delicious Peters (First black child at my dad's school during the 60's. Poor child....like his life wasn't hard enough already! My dad said he was a very nice kid and that nobody actually bothered him about his name. He saw him recently and he changed his first name when he turned 18. Still listed in phone book as D. Peters though)

Furious (Child at my kids school. Sweet little boy)

Beau Hunter <Lastname> (Friend's nephew)

Hunter Forest

Justin Case (There are actually 2 of them in our area!!! I was telling someone about one that was on my child's (10 y/o) baseball team. She knew one who went to school with her daughter who is 25-ish.)

Sheanna (Just like it reads....said "She-Anna")

Amerika (WHY?)

My grandparents' brothers/sisters/aunts/uncles: leeler & looler (twins...don't know spelling). vicey <female> , pleasant <male>, mujer <male>, Artemus. Also, there's a *doll-ree*. BUT....I heard her husband call her DOLLY. (heard that for the first time last month) So it may be some distortion of Dolly given by a younger sibling? :confused3

Friends student's names:
Sh**head, pronounced shi-theed
Mattress, pronounced muh-treese

This topic was on the radio the other day... someone called in to say they knew a Jenna Tails.

I think I may have a winner! When I taught 2nd grade, I had a student whose first name was: HandsomeStranger.:rolleyes1
The running joke was that he was named after his daddy .

I went to middle school with twins Vanilla and Danilla

My best friends name is Cupid Hart LOL shhh dont tell her I told ; ) People ask if she is a stripper..... no she isnt, she is very far from it! Funny thing is her grandfather was also Cupid.. that is really funny to me. A man named Cupid!

My ex husband has two little girls ( not mine lol)
Heaven and Bliss... when I ran into him recently and he introduced me I almost laughed in his face.

I rarely post but couldn't pass up the opportunity to share our favorites -

Friend doing residency at a hospital in our state treated a new mom with twins named Twina and Twinb. When they were brought to the young mother they wore hospital wristbands saying TwinA and TwinB and she thought someone must've already named them and so wrote those names on the birth certificate.

And a dear older gentlemen who has since passed away named Harold Butt. He went by the traditional nickname for Harold.

I had a student in my class last year named Lovely and she was anything but :rotfl:
I know a Lovely too. And she has a brother, Macho.

I was just thinking that my relatives have some odd names too...Oval, Recil, Vernetta, Valda, Narcross.

My cousin named his son Hamlet. No joke! I don't know if it's weird, but it's certainly not common.:rolleyes1

I forgot one. My late uncles girlfriend is named Carma Delite. Sounds like a stripper name to me.

My Mom tells a similar story about when she was a student nurse. The twins were named Female(pronounced Fahmalay) and Male(Mahlay).

My mom and I were talking about funny names recently and she said that she went to school with a boy named Harry Legs. Why would someone name their kid that?:rotfl2:

i remember these two from my history class last semester.

there was a political figure (sort of a nobody, i can't remember his name) but his mother's name was FLORIDE.

and another man who was really pushing greenbacks named his son Legal Tender.

Not the weirdest names I've ever heard, but the strangest ones of people I know: I went to elementary school with two cousins named LaWatha and Panatha. Another friend named his daughter April May. :lmao:

i went to school with one of each of those!
bo hunter (last name)
and sheanna (last name)

brother and sister with the last name of "cox" (but not spelled that way so think of the alternate spelling that the dis filter would'nt care for folks)-boy's name was "ima", girl's name was "fonda":scared1::scared1:(no joke-i saw the certified birth certs).

boy-myprecious (all one word)

another boy-hisroyalmajesty (all one word)

chastity-but mom mispelled it so it ended up on the birth cert as "chasetittie".

MY PERSONAL FAVORITE-

for a girl "william joseph III". her father kept insisting to her mother that they would continue to have children until he had one to pass "the family name" onto. when mom was in the hospital having dd #6 of 6 she told the registry nurse "don't ask questions just put that name on the birth certificate cuz i'm tired and I'M DONE":lmao::lmao:

I went to school with twins named Rainy and Stormy... must of been a bad night when they were born!:rotfl2: Also, a lady on another board has a baby named Dark Cross.

i went to school with sisters who were named echo and morning dove. story went that both were born in another country in a very rural hospital in the mountains-when one sister was born mom claimed that later in the morning the nurse opened a window in her room and she heard sounds bouncing across the alps-so she named her "echo", and when the other sister was born near sunrise a dove landed on mom's window sill-hence the name "morning dove"
