This is our 9th day of vacation and as much as I'm havin' a great time,I'm wicked missin' my dogs. I 've called home almost every day to see how they're doing.
We grab some Krispy Kremes and coffee and I put some BlisterShield powder in my socks,not because I have blisters,but because this stuff is awesome! We head for MK.
The place was pretty empty!! Of course Karen loves to rub it in that its better to go to the parks in the daytime! Yup. Whateveh....
We get a FP for Splash and then head over to SpaceMT,which I ride alone. I LOVED it!!!!! But,I can tell ya I wouldn't have been on it if the lights were on.NO WAY!!!!
We still have 45 minutes before we can ride Splash MT so we do Haunted house. I wish sometimes WDW would up date these attractions just a little bit. I mean,we haven't been to WDW for 4 years and still felt that MK really hadn't changed at all.
We finally get to ride splash MT. WHAT A GREAT RIDE!!!!! I think the anticipation of the big drop really gets ya pumped up. We both really liked this ride! (The drop looks worse from the bridge than it really is).
The closer it gets to noon,the more packed this park gets. I've about had enough of the strollers riding up my...... anyway,why are people so inconsiderate???? Its not like I've stopped in the middle of the street or anything! Karen went into one of the shops and I stayed outside to people watch. I swear,people use those freekin' strollers like a plow!!! I saw it happen!! At this point,I'm feelin' the "magic" slip away. I think I'm startin' to need a vacation from my vacation!
When Karen comes out of the shop ,we decide to say "buh-bye" to Magic Kingdom. To me the best part of this park is the first time you enter,standing in the middle of Main St,lookin' down to the castle. "It don't get betteh than that....."
We get back to the Dolphin and its hot,really hot. So we change and head for the "peeool". We have PS's for 6pm at Prime Time Cafe,so we had just enough time to chill for awhile before heading over to MGM. I was kinda surprised that the pool wasn't mobbed,but there was plenty of chairs still!
Karen and I talk about what a great vacation its been,a really pissa time,but how we're ready to get home. I think in the past our vacations were too short and we always left feeling we didn't get the chance to do all we wanted. This vacation was 11 days and long enough for us. I think that's how vacation should be. You should be "ready" to go home. I knew when we got on that plane to go back home,we'd be ready.
One of the nicest things about staying at the Dolphin,the boats. How easy is it to go to MGM!!! We get to Prime Time Cafe in plenty of time. There's LOTS of people waiting,but not for us!
Our waiter is "cousin Jimmy" and he reminds us not to forget our table manners or else!! We laughed----and forgot our manners!!!!! I swear,he had radar or somethin' because a little elbow skin touch the table and he came outa nowhere!!!!! At one point, while in the middle of a conversation, we hear someone yelling across the restaurant," Elbows off the table,missy!!" We were laughing and looking to see who was getting humiliated this time,when Cousin Jimmy yells,"Im talking to you!!!!!" Now everyone is looking around to see who "you" is,when I realize its Karen!!!! She had her elbows propped up on the table and good ol' Jimmy caught her! Man,we were all laughin'!!! We both really had fun here and the food was good!
We had Pot Roast and s'mores for desert.
After dinner we walked around and caught a few comedy street shows that were very funny! We didn't hang out too late because tomorrow we knew we had to be up early and at Epcot to ride the Segways!!!!!!! We're also going to meet Aisling,her mom and 2 sons! Oh,and I almost forgot-------my 50th birthday!!!
