If you plan to be in or near WDW any time between 2/3 and 2/28/2010...

WICKED will be at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are on sale to the general public and can be purchased through their website:

http://www.tbpac.org/

or by phone 847 - 392 - 0077.

Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center is approximately 1 hour from Walt Disney World and easy to find.

Directions are available on the website

We got our tickets.......woohoo!

GREAT show!! I have seen it twice in NYC!

Enjoy it Kevin!!!

Hi Kevin:

It's my favorite musical... we’ve seen it twice and we got lucky to get Row 1 Center seats when it comes to the Fabulous Fox St Louis next June.

Anyone who gets the chance should take the time to see this show. The songs are really great. I would also suggest getting the Original Broadway Soundtrack and kick back and listen to the story before going the first time.

Mark

Awwww i wanna see it!!!! but i don't think i could get my parents to go. i could buy my own ticket but i don't think one of my parents would want to spend 50 dollors to go see a musical. :sad1:

I agree with everyone. It was a great show. Amy saw I believe three times. You think she really liked it :)

Thanks Kevin! Looks like tickets go on sale in about an hour so I might try to nab some. But I saw that early bird sale and got tickets to mary poppins, little mermaid, and the nutcracker!! :cool1:

I saw it at the Orpheum in Minneapolis last year, and I agree, it was wonderful. We also had front row seats, off to stage left, but it was still incredible. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Ahhh... I saw the prices for it and OUCH! I think I will be passing on this for now - I was only interested because of the snippet I saw in Ugly Betty. Still, thanks for the heads up, I am excited with all the other tickets I scored (I got 5 shows for about the price that Wicked would have been!)

Orchestra tickets for a matinee were approximately $104.00 each including the service charge.

5 tickets for 100 bucks is certainly a bargain

This is only tangentially related, but the girls and I watched "Enchanted" last night for pizza/movie night. It was only last night I realized that Idina Menzel (Elphaba on Broadway) played Patrick Dempsey's girlfriend in the movie.

And, Idina Menzel is married to my husband. :lovestruc

We went to see Wicked last year when it was in Chicago. Loved it!! The girls are going to see it next Sunday with Grandma and Grandpa in Des Moines. They are super excited. Emilie is more than Madi. Em loves all musicals. I think she has watched the Sound of Music five times in the last month.

Not sure why I know this but...

Mr and Mrs. Diggs just recently had a baby.

I believe his name is Walker.

I dont know where I left my car keys...but I know this.

Jeesh!

Would this information be to negate the fact that I am married to Mr. Diggs????

They did just have a baby, but I did not know his name was Walker, and I don't know where your car keys are either. Sorry. I just leave mine in the car.

I love listening to this musical on my iPod.
Hopefully it will go on tour from London so that we can see it :goodvibes

This is good to know. If I'm ever in Iowa and need a ride I won't call a cab, I'll just hop in your car and drive away. Thanks in advance Nicole! :thumbsup2

We LOVE this show! We've seen it twice in Chicago(the first time Ana Gasteyer from Saturday Night Live was Elphaba!) and after the first time, we played the soundtrack for 3 months straight in our van. One day we looked at each other and said, "Um, it's been 3 months. We should probably change the CD..." Now I can't watch the Wizard of Oz, b/c I keep thinking, "Stop being so mean to her! She's really misunderstood!"

Side note- Anyone watch the new amazing show "Glee"? I think the lead looks and sounds a lot like Idina Menzel.

Saw the show for the 1st time last week. Didn't know a lot about it, but that is was great. Very funny. Favorite line, "deeply shallow". And I didn't expect the ending. They got a standing ovation. My 14 yr old niece went in being forced, came out singing the songs!

Prices are high, but sometimes I have to bite the bullet for this show.

Paul, if you ever came to Iowa, you could just give me a call, and I'd take you wherever you needed to go. While the keys might be in the car, the car is in the garage.
