WICKED coming to Tampa 2/3 - 2/28/10

Paul, if you ever came to Iowa, you could just give me a call, and I'd take you wherever you needed to go. While the keys might be in the car, the car is in the garage.

So no stealing your car then? OK, I'll call for a ride. :goodvibes

Now I can't watch the Wizard of Oz, b/c I keep thinking, "Stop being so mean to her! She's really misunderstood!"

DD and I feel the exact same way! :lmao:We also get fired up on the GMR during the Wizard of Oz scene with all the munchkins. Darn that Boq!

I usually enjoy seeing a show with some celebrity playing a role....
but with WICKED....unless it's Kristen Chenowith or Idina Menzel.....I dont want to know who the actors are.

The characters are strong enough and recognizable enough that I dont want to see someone's personality showing through.

I know...it's weird.

wicked is amazing. We saw if in LA and now it is in San Francisco. Have tickets for the show in November, time to beak out the CD and start listening again.

Side note- Anyone watch the new amazing show "Glee"? I think the lead looks and sounds a lot like Idina Menzel.

Love Glee, the lip syncing is not to good, but I am hoping it finds a groove and stays on. The show choirs each week are the highlight of the show for me.

The highlight for me is Jane Lynch.

She doesnt have to even say anything to make me laugh.

She's in a few of the Christopher Guest movies and steals every scene she's in....and thats tough to do with that group.

In my own production of "Wicked" that I put on in my car recently I played the part of Elphaba and Glinda. It was a demanding, but rewarding experience.

I've often said that I could be the understudy for every part in Evita.

The Christopher Guest movies are hilarious.....and Jane Lynch is a scene stealer. I love everything she does.

I saw it twice on Broadway as well and am so looking forward to seeing it down here!

I have to thank you for pointing me to this show. We did a girls road trip to San Antonio to see it this summer. We were wowed.

The week after the show, it was announced that Broadway is returning to New Orleans for the first time since Katrina. Our beloved Saenger Theater isn't reopening (yet), but they have a new venue. They announced that Wicked was in the line up. My mom and I bought season tickets immediately. My 9 year old son will also be coming with us to see Wicked. He sings the music in the car.

Thanks for bringing this show to my attention. It is amazing and well worth the trip. (We rode 9 hours to see it!)

We live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and Wicked will be in Kansas over the Halloween weekend. I am taking Miranda with another mom and her 3 girls up there for the weekend to see it. They are soooo excited.
