I know he looks ridiculous to all the Cubs fans when he wears his White Sox shirts too.![]()

What an obnoxious woman. Blech.
Some people just need to let kids be kids. My son would only wear green until he was 4 because he thought that nobody would believe he was Peter Pan otherwise.
I wonder if that woman would have said the same thing to a 12 year old girl with a belly shirt and a thong sticking out of the top of her low rise pants?

FayeW said:I made ONE statement, and I didn't expect anyone to agree with me! I can't exactly put my finger on why the outfit would have seemed inappropriate to me, maybe for the same reasons that other people don't like to see children playing with guns or army toys. I guess it would just be a knee jerk reaction to seeing a child "playing at war" by dressing like a soldier. However, I would never have made a comment about to the child.
By the same token, I would probably think that seeing a child dressed in ANY type of costume was a little ridiculous and inappropriate, if it wasn't in an appropriate venu ( i.e princess costumes at Disney, etc) but that's just me. I didn't dress my kids that way, so I guess I just don't have a lot of patience for it. My problem, obviously.
