Why would MK be closing at 430pm on 1/30?

Anyone have an idea? I don't see a special event listed that night.

It is the Disney CM appreciation celebration event. MK closes early so CMs can have exclusive access.

It’s called the “Celebrate You” party. It’s only for CMs who are celebrating their 10,15,20, 25, etc year anniversary. They and a guest are invited to attend. The park will close promptly at 4:30 PM ET and all day guests must be gone. Not just heading out.

ETA: add details...

I think that's an awesome event for CM's! I know if I was a CM, I wouldn't miss it,

Agree with either a Cm event or a private party. Either way, you won't know.

What a cool event! I would sit along the red carpet & cheer for all the CMs. They do an amazing job & deserve it!

Another thing to be aware of is that this is one of the very few times that Magic Kingdom will close the attraction lines early. They do want everything cleared by 4:30.

We'll be there that day at WDW and at first I was like "dang that sucks it's closing early" but now seeing what it's for , I am in full support. That's a great reason to close early.

We're planning on being there the first half of the day. I wonder if it closing so early will actually make crowds lighter that day.
