Why would a post disappear?

Long time reader but more recent poster here.

In the past few weeks I have had two posts disappear. One I think disappeared because it was a reply to a post that was deleted, but today, one was removed even though the post I replied to was still there. Was it the content of my post? I try to be respectful of all on here and the post that was removed was pointing out that a twitter post that someone posted here was probably not a reliable source or a nice person. But this was about the twitter user not a Dis user. Can we not critique a random twitter user on Dis?

Normally, when we delete a post we put a reason that the poster will see. The moderator may have not done that as an oversight.
