Why won't my CD-ROM drawer open?

I'm really NOT in the mood for this today. Is there some magic word I need to say or something?
And yes, I've tried the button several times. It just won't open.

On a computer? There is a little tiny hole in the drive that you can stick the end of a paper clip in and that should force it open.

It's really a cup holder that your forced into your computer...

The paperclip should release the mechanical lock on the drive drawer. Have you tried this with the power turned off? If you hear a click, you should be able to pull the drawer open. Sounds like either a CD label came off or you somehow got two CDs in the drawer at the same time. Good luck.

Hit "eject" and push the drawer in as it's supposed to open. That might work.

I shut the computer down and then said some choice words to it and viola! It opened!
