I'm not sure why my Birthday Cake thread was closed?

It seemed like a lot of people on here were piling on with silly replies and that got my thread closed. Seems kind of unfair that I can ask a legitimate question and some of the clowns around here can get the thread closed because they don't like my question.

Sheesh!

I think I gave a wonderful solution by making a fire in the bathtub....then somebody went and made fun of me. Geesh :sad2:

I guess I should have posted a question about what to name my cat or some random thoughts about Scott Baio and his new show. :confused3

Well, how many more respones did you want? Most people said it would taste bad, or that lugging the mixer, bowl, eggs, etc would be a hassle.

Others said to buy one at the gorcery store or to get it with free dining.

Almost everyone gave you the same answer....BUY A CAKE.

How many pages do you need of...BUY A CAKE???

I mentioned early in the thread that cooking in the room threads get ugly quickly and that was starting to turn ugly very quickly. I think the mods thought you got your answer and closed it before it got out of hand.

But thats the point... I didn't get my answer. Instead I got 30 wannabe comedians turing my thread into a joke.

Why don't you try "baking" a cake in your microwave at home NOW to try it & see how it works & tastes. After you spit out that first bite, you will see why everyone was telling you to just buy the cake.

You said you were driving down - I am sure there are many bakeries & grocerystores that you will pass that you can get one at for less than $10.00. Otherwise, wait for the "big cake" until you get home or "celebrate" before you go to Disney & "settle" for the cupcakes that he can get for free.

you got many, many answers.

All saying not to make a cake in your room.

Start a thread called..please agree with my silly idea, becuase that's really what you are looking for.

you did't get an answer?

you got
"microwave cake tastes awful"
"too much of a hassle"
"bring a cake"
"buy a cake"
"Bake a cake and freeze it"
"get a free cupcake or slice of cake"
"get a cupcake with dinner"

What more do you want??????????

You got 30 "dont do it"s and a few "go for it"s....what answer were you looking for exactly. Those are the only 2 options. Maybe you should have posted a poll? :confused3 Give us a clearer idea of where you wanted us to go. I for one always find it hard to pack a microwave but hey, whatever floats your boat. Hey, maybe you could take the microwave on one of the boats, make the cake there and make it even specialer. :cutie:

Just a wild guess here, but I think there were a lot of people on there piling on with silly replies that got your thread closed. :confused3

Don't be dissing on my Chachi--you will have the wrath of Angel and I. ;)

As was said before, your question was answered--just because you don't like the answer doesn't mean that it wasn't answered. And really it was probably not appropriate for the CB. You should probably post it on the Budget Board or the Resort Board, maybe the Family Board.

On the CB if you ask a question that is perceived as silly you tend to get silly answers.

Oh, and don't be surprised if this thread is Closed--usually threads asking about Closed threads also get closed.
