Why Tangled theme area with no characters?

The tangled area looks very cute! However, why do all that work without incorporating the characters? Seems very disjointed to have Rapunzel at the front of the park and her area in the back...

There's every indication she will move her M&G to the Tangled area. May not happen until the Princess M&G in New Fantasyland opens though. This is something an imagineer said would likely happen during a Dine with an Imagineer lunch.

Nobody has said it wont happen. All of the changes for the the new Fantasyland is happening in phases. Disney has surprised us by cutting things we were expecting and adding things we didn't expect. I believe it is still forthcoming.

I recently heard December, and that Anna from Frozen, the new movie in November, will be added to fairytale hall as well

Although I can see some confusion with M&G someplace else, I love that they put so much detail into the area, and themed it to a specific film. I would love to see more detail, less generic, throughout the parks.

If you've had a chance to see WWoHP at Universal Islands of Adventure, the street detail is ridiculously great.

Like stepping into the story...some bathrooms there also included in the theming.

This is interesting because Imagineer Chris Beatty said just the oposite back in October in his online chat. He said there were no plans for a M&G in this area. I also don't see how they would squeeze it in without making that area really congested which was one of the problems it was designed to solve.

Sounds like very old info - this is not currently in the plans...

Rapunzel is expected to appear in Fairytale Hall, something completely different in works for Frozen. But - it could all change - Fall/November are a long way away!

I'm guessing this will happen as it's been the "new princess" area recently!
