Why, oh why...

Glenn, I tried to reach you but I think've your probably gone. Sorry I didn't get back with you in time.

I'm 39 and a Disney NUT... My wife thinks I'm crazy... so she is sending me to WDW solo the first week of March, just so I can do the backstgae tour by myself. I have always been into Disney!!

I too am pleased to see all the singles coming out the woodwork (so to speak) It is reassuring to know there are more out there than I thought :)

Disneydudette, I had already left for wdw before you put forth the offer to "hang out" or I would have taken you up on that. Sorry.

DISCON was a blast! Lots of singles and solos there. The only problem is that you may show up for DISCON solo but you don't stay solo for long. Everyone is just too friendly.

There were 5 of us women travelling solo and we experienced MVMCP together. The laughing we did! What a hoot. *sigh* I wish I could go back.

Count me in!! Single Female, 36, LOVEs DISNEY, LOVEs UNIVERSAL, going to Orlando for New Years solo.

Wanted: Single Male

No Prince with White Horse required

Just looking for a sweet guy over 35 that loves Disney magic and Universal thrill rides...

Let's share many magical moments together. We can fill our days with thrill rides and nights with.... well.... thrill rides (you figure it out) hehehehe

Pixie Dust dreams, and Incredible Hulk screams does it for me, how about you??!!

Don't give up hope on conversion, either. I've managed to convert my BF, a self-declared "jock" who had never been to Disney when we met. Now, we go once a year. I emphasize things he enjoys; i.e. he loves sushi and I won't go near it. When we go to Disney, I make sure he gets to have it. My point is, there's something at Disney for everyone. I'm not sure people realize how good the restaurants are down there. We look forward to the eating the most. I also think the Boardwalk has a lot to offer. My BF loved Jellyrolls. We're staying at AKL in February, and this will be my first time there. Every trip is a new experience!

I feel so bad.....I initially planned on a new years trip, but since
I couldn't find anyone to go I decided to make a solo Haloween trip. Still had a great time though......

If I had more of a notice I would have loved to travel down for new years......I always wanted to see disney over the Christmas/New Years time slot.

Sounds like you will have a great trip.....enjoy

My next trip is in January...
Followed by one in February...
Followed by one in March...

LOL, you get the idea... Anyone heading to my world anytime soon?

I'm trying to make some reservations for my birthday weekend... Jan 12th. :) I've been on hold for 14 minutes!

Just in case I forget.....let me just say it now....

I hope you have a great birthday PieInYourEye.....

and I also hope you are able to make your reservations.

For someone that lives so close to the world, what type of
accomodations due you normally try for?

value/mod/deluxe?

Good Luck!!!!

First, thanks, every b-day is a blessing.

Basically, Yes... any of the three. Because I am so close and many of my trips are at the last minute... whatever my budget can handle at the time is what I go with. I'm ok with the value because I only use the place to rest my head. When I go moderate, I enjoy Riverside. Most often, that's the one where I can get the AP discount, even at the last minute. Deluxe, well for me, thats a treat that I REALLY like. Whenever I go deluxe... I do the turn down service - makes me feel special. LOL

I've stayed off site many times. The East Gate HoJo's, Days, even the International Youth Hostel. Obvisously I prefer on site and now that my DD has grown up and moved out, I seem to have a little more money left over. LOL I think staying on site is worth it because of the transportation... even if you don't take the bus, you get the pass for the car so you don't have to pay for parking.

I don't know. My husband is severely Disney impaired but he humors me.

LOL......this sounds just like my DH! He just doesn't get it! :earsgirl:

Any of you single men between age 35 and 55 going to be at DW around Thanksgiving this year? I'll be there (GF) and I'm 44. My married brothers & their kids will also be there w/ Grandparents - but I'm the only single one -- hope I meet up w/ someone interesting.:coffee:

Looks like I'm going solo next Feb. Did it this year with DD and 3 gks. Loved it but there was so much I would have done if I was alone ,like different restaurants, can't wait to try Boma, Biergarten etc Places dgks would not have liked. Stay for the fireworkds, they always pooped out before that!! A whole week with no one to make demands on me. And best of all be in Disney!!! Several friends are interested in going but noone will commit ! Is it much more expensive going solo??

I'm 55 single female. Just did first solo trip in May. I LOVED IT. If I cant find a traveling partner...I'll go alone. No one I know seems to GET disney and why I like it so much ..I will be going Aug 1 -Aug 11..with my 22 year old son and his girlfriend....They will ditch me at some point :lmao: I dont mind:love: I know they love me. But this will seem like a solo trip. Anyone else going at this time...:cool1:
