Why, oh why aren't there any single men around my age (40) that are crazy about WDW. Or maybe my questions should be WHERE OH WHERE ARE THEY! :smooth:

I don't know. My husband is severely Disney impaired but he humors me.

Ok, I may only be 32, but being a Disney nut is nothing to worry about. I get made fun of all the time, but I take it.....it makes me feel like I'm 5 years old all over again.

Before I met DW, I did fit that bill. I would get funny looks all over the place being a male in his late 30's early 40's solo at WDW. LOL. It was fun. One year I was at WL solo. I was there for a week. You usually see the same folks all the time. By day 3 I was getting strange looks by couples and families(the adults) the kids were just having fun. I my 20 something son showed up and they saw me with him and I stop getting the looks. Think about that a min. LOL. But I am not single anymore. Sorry.:)

I ask myself the same question everyday. I'm 30 and this breed of man seems to be extinct.

My DH wasn't a Disney fan until I "converted" him on his first trip 3 years ago. Now, I do the planning (because I love to plan) and he is game for everything and anything I suggest. Sometimes I even hear him singing "Beauty and the Beast" over and over again. He wears Disney polo style shirts and baseball caps. Last year, he even bought tickets for us to see Beauty and the Beast and Aida on Broadway- next up is the Lion King. When I recently had to order new checks, he requested the Disney ones (he did draw the line at Pooh, though - he said he didn't feel it was a manly thing to pull out a Winnie the Pooh check  ) .

It is possible to turn a non-Disney lover into a total Disney fanatic - my DH is living proof!

Maybe you could meet a "regular" guy and inspire him! ;)

I haven't been able to convert my husband yet, Krissalee. I make my trips solo. What is your secret for conversion?

I'm not sure what the secret is, nativetxn. When I find out, I'll try to bottle it! ;)

47 here, single and absolutely crazy about Disney. Been to WDW over 30 time on vacation. Now I live 30 minutes away so I don't keep count any more.

- Premimum Annual Passholder (even when I lived in Phoenix, AZ) and used it 20 to 30 days a year. Of course now I use it more.
- Disney Vacation Club Member
- Disney Club Member
- Disneyland Annual Passholder (while I lived in Phoenix)
- Trying everything I can think of to get an engineering job at WDW.

Hey, I'm 55 and Single again....

I went there by myself last March. I had a great time but it really would have been nice to have someone to share with. It just isn't the same without someone else to watch. My X liked the place but really didn't get as excited about it as I did. She passed up a couple of trips that I took with my daughter because she had other "more important" things to do. Unless, it was world peace, I can't imagine anything more important.
 :bounce:  :Pinkbounc

Wow, you've inspired hope! Thanks!

When I retire, in a million years, I want to be the fairy godmother. :)

Well I'm only 44, and single again.......I have made the last five
trips to the world solo. When I go to Disney I tend to convert right back into a kid. It's always so tough to find someone that has the same enjoyment for Disney as I do. As mentioned earlier by others, yes I get questioned all of the time on "why do you love Disney so much" and "How can you go there solo and still enjoy it?".

It would be nice to find someone with the same Disney enjoyment as myself.

They should have a disney meet for just people as ourselves.....I'm not referring to a discon, but a awesome solo meet. Now that could be interesting....

OK another one here 46 according to my drivers license and about 10-12 if you listened to the people (old very old) at work. Make most of my trips solo now with next in 8 days.
I have been to WDW with Girlfriends regular friends and family many times but seems like its only once then they all come up with reasons not to go. Maybe it was that one time we closed PI got up real early went offsite to Denny’s Diner and stuffed Super Slams. (me telling everyone to eat a lot because park food is bad and expensive) Then it's off to MGM and TOT (somehow they thought it was sort of a sit-down attraction like HM)
Other stuff, not really Disney Crazy I go 2-3 times a year but only collect POC stuff, Watches and old Movie posters live action not animation. Never watched LK B&B Aladdin (1/2) and every other since Donald only had nephews and an uncle. Enough of my dribble...later

Hi, 50 yr old guy single and love WDW. People cannt understand why I enjoy going solo. Will be at BWI in 13 days. If pie in the sky wants to share dinner let me know.:bounce:

The Disney Dudettes will be in WDW Dec 7-13 if anyone wants to meet up with us! We are 2 single + 1 married women who travel to WDW at least once a year. The married one leaves hubby at home since he prefers golf.

If anyone is interested in meeting somewhere while we are there send a pm.

nativetxn-I saw in a post that you were looking for someone to meet for a meal or something. You are welcome to hang out with us someday if you like. We may even make you an honorary Dudette!

Hi disneydudette1

Next year when you plan your yearly trip, you need to get the word out ahead of time. I'm quite sure that you will see allot of
your fellow solo travelers want to all get together for a meal or a gathering at pleasure island.

enjoy

What?

Did you hear that?

Why... why... it's Mickey calling my name.

I'm coming Mickey, I'm coming!

Thanks for taking the time to reply. This is TERRIFIC! I feel a little comradarie coming on... I'm thrilled with the idea of meeting some other single, solo travelers who are WDW crazed.

but I am when I go to WDW!!;) My next trip is Jan. 31- Feb. 4th 2003! Anyone going than?

I'm only 30 but I love WDW, enough to go on my first solo trip upcoming very soon. I think more single and adults in general love WDW but are afraid to admit it. There's more out there than you think.

I too am looking forward to meeting some fellow solo travelers.
