I was just looking at the rides at DL...and saw there is an Alice ride. Thats my all time favorite Disney movie. Im just curious why there isnt one at WDW? I know they consider the tea cups somewhat of an Alice ride since it is the mad tea party.

I have no answer for you, I just wanted to say....

THIS! SO much THIS!

Disney needs more Alice. So tired of those princesses.

They will build an Alice ride when you answer the following riddle. . .

How is a raven like a writing desk?

One of the things that we were so taken aback by when we visited DL a few years back was,how much better their FantasyLand was than WDWs..I mean not only Alice in Wonderland, but Pinnochio,Canal storyboats,Matterhorn,Caseys circus train,The Submarine Nemo ride, and last but most certainly not least Mr Toads Wild Ride...(man did that bring back fond memories)...but it seems that WDW has gotten the memo, and we will have a pretty awesome Fantasyland ourself soon

My kids were shoulder surfing and saw someone's pictures of the Alice Ride. Boy were they jealous! They tried to get me to take them there now!

Didn't happen, but thanks for the inspiration!

Even the bathrooms are better ;)
I love the Queen of Hearts bathroom!

I know it really "fits" at DLR with the "Mad-Hatter" store nearby where you can buy all sorts of mickey-ear configured hats (seemed much more a right of passage at DLR than WDW). :confused3

Because WDW doesn't get or have everything DL gets, just like they don't have everything that WDW has. They aren't identical parks and they don't have to be.I would like to see more of the Disney Classics in the WDW parks too.The revamped Fantasyland should be interesting though, I just wish that Disney would stop ramming Princesses down our throats.

I always thought The Mad Tea Party (tea cups) Was WDW version of an Alice in Wonderland ride. Quite frequently you will see the characters here.

If everything was the same at all the parks there would be no reason to visit the other parks.

Disney World definitely needs more Alice!!!! Shes non existent there. I mean, Im all for Princesses.... but come on! Alice is a classic too.

I'm a CA local (it's a six hour drive for us to DL). We go every year. I LOVE the Alice ride, it's one of my favorites. It's a local favorite, too. During peak seasons, the line is usually as long as Peter Pan. (Niether have FP's). I'm looking forward to our first WDW trip. You guys have Epcot.:thumbsup2. Also, we have two Hatter stores. The one in FL is rather small, and always crowded. The other is in Town Square, in there you can build your own hat.

I don't feel like there is a lack of Alice in the parks... at least the mad tea party ride DOES exist! If you want to complain about lack of classics let's talk Robin Hood... ;)

Our family loves Alice too. We prefer the animated version of the movie, but at least with the newer movie there is a bit more Alice merch to be found in the shops. Just think of the amazing attraction they could develop now with all the technology available. The DLR attraction is really cool too.:earsboy:
