Why Journey Into Imagination Should Close at EPCOT

You wear 3D glasses and they have added effects in the theater too
Explain how the short films are different than EO, other than different content, of course. Experience is different how?

Journey used to be my favorite Epcot attraction. The ride, the pavilion itself, rainbow bridge, upstairs area etc.

It's hard to believe that a place like Disney World, created by "imagineers", would allow the "imagination" attraction to fall into such disarray. It should be a show place for cool stuff and ideas, not a walk by.

My family loves this ride. My daughter loves Figment right now, and I would hate to see this ride go. She even bought a stuffed Figment with her trip money, and she wants a Figment birthday party. I know it's a little strange, but she just really fell in love with it. I guess I fail to see how some other similar rides are better because they are classics, but this one should go.

Same here. It certainly is disappointing compared to the previous version but to my kids this is the only version they know and they still love it and love figment.

For the Star Wars dessert party, with a capacity of 140, assuming all adults at $70/each, that comes to ballpark $10K (very generously). I've seen Wishes quoted as over $40K a night, so if the Star Works show is just a quarter of that, the dessert party is just covering the cost of the show (since no one else is paying specifically for it), without even considering th cost of the party.

But let's say we don't apply the income against the show costs, since they'll have the show anyway. $10K/night comes to $3,650,000. A new ride can run $100,000,000. So that's over 25 years before the Star Wars dessert party could pay the cost of a new ride.

But you didn't count the granddaddy of all dessert parties, those at Magic Kingdom. And let us not forget the Illuminations Sparking Dessert Parties that are held during F&W. Plus, I have faith that AK will start having them once Rivers of Light is up and running.

Who needs corporate sponsors to update attractions when you can sell cupcakes with a view?

I would not be sorry to see it go but DH drags me on it every trip (usually more than once). He remembers it so fondly from his childhood while I just grin and bear it. At least it makes me feel better about dragging him on Living with the Land multiple times.

I'm sure the rumored Universe of Energy redo will cost quite a bit. Plus Pandora at AK, Star Wars/Toy Story at DHS. Imagination just isn't a priority. I doubt a redo would draw a large number of people into the park.

I love figment and the pavilion. I agree it could use an update, but please don't get rid of it unless you bring back figment somewhere else!

What ride is 100 Million dollars?? I'm sure they could refurb that for a few million if they wanted to go that far.....Just use existing platform and go from there. Heck, $500,000 may be all that's needed or less. I just don't see a park with 10+ $100,000,000 dollar rides.

NOooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! I love Figment. Maybe they need to add to the area after Figment, but don't close my baby Fig.

I took two 4yr olds and a 2 yr old on this a few week ago and they LOVED it. The 4yr Olds went on and on and on about how awesome the figment ride was. So I hope they keep it.
