Why isn't my Dentist's office closed????

I have a dental appt. today. I hate going to the dentist I just called and they are open so I will go and get it over with but I won't like it! Oh, schools are closed so that's why I was hoping my dentist would be too! I want my Mommy!

Well, where does your dentist live in relation to his office? Around here, several work out of their homes - and many patients are local. Maybe he thinks he's doing a favor to his patients who ordinarily can't find/make the time for an appointment?

Oh I don't fault the guy(or girl-there's 2 dentists) for being open. I was just being tongue in cheek...looking for any and I mean any, excuse to not go. I even thought of saying I couldn't leave the kids home alone but since my dd is almost 15 that wouldn't fly

Ok, I went and I made it!! Lol, I had 2 cavities filled with NO novacaine and it was a breeze Now I'm so glad they were open b/c I'm done until my next cleaning

I just spoke to my dentist......their office is closed due to the weather. I called because my temp. filling fell out from my root canal & ligament cut Monday...Have to back Monday for more oral surgery.

We had 20 inches of snow....

I go next thursday for two cavity fillings. It's one cavity that formed at the base of two teeth... so I get charged double... Go me.

I hope you have some medication to get you through the weekend and if you don't CALL!!!!!! (clove oil works wonders too-) Oh & I love your little shih-tzu! We have one her name is Gracie & is a doll!!!

Ugh...good luck. As long as they provide some novocaine...and I sometimes get the nitrous-I get the entire staff laughing-they had to nearly hold me down when I got a tooth pulled last year-laughing so hard that I had my knees curled up to my chest!!! Now that's a great visit to the dentist!!

OP sounds just like me. I go to the dentist twice a yr for cleanings, but always end canceling and rescheduling my appointment at least once, just because I am a big baby. I get myself all worked up about things that may be wrong with my teeth, then get in there and it ends up fine. I drive my poor DH crazy!!
