I've been planning this trip for months. Very excited to be staying at the Poly for the first time. We are leaving Saturday at 5:00am.
Why can't I get it together and start packing?
Why can't I start washing clothes to get packed?
Why is my dd4 coming down with a cold and was up all night coughing?
Why is my ds8 coming down with a stomach virus that had him vomitting all night?
Why???? LOL
Guess I need to "suck it up" as my ds11 would say, stop feeling sorry for myself and get something done!!
Thanks for letting me vent! :flower:

Everything will work out. You are probably just stressing yourself. Make sure to pack the medicine and go. I am sure once you are there, everything will be fine. Have a great time. Let us know how it all went. :)

I know how you're feeling. We're actually not telling our kids what day we're leaving because it seems like when they know they inevitably get sick right before we leave! I am trying to use my superpowers to ensure that my family is all healthy when we leave next week!

As long as the rest of you don't get the stomach virus consider yourself lucky that your DS has it now and will be done with it by the time you leave. Also the same for your DD. Hopefully her cold will be on the down side before you travel. Make sure everyone in the family washes their hands every hour!!

My daughter got pretty sick (coughing and lung infection) on her birthday trip a few years ago and we ended up taking her to the clinic in town. She was completely healthy the day we left, but two days later she was coughing continually. She was such a trooper, though, and although we cancelled some things we still plugged along.

This is how I feel:
- You have so many things to pack and remember so it's hard to get started.
- Packing also means the end of the planning stage and for me that is the most fun. I go through a little withdrawal when I have to stop planning and start doing.

Everything will be fine! Think positive thoughts. Have fun! :cheer2:

Hey...get the sicknesses out of the way NOW as opposed to surprising you at WDW!

PIXIE DUST sent your way!!!

You will make it and enjoy your trip even more!!!!!

I know how you feel. The day before we were to fly down in 2001 my daughter broke out with Chicken Pox!

:love2: A kiss on the cheek and :grouphug: a hug! Things will work out. Just think of all the fun you will have!

boy can I relate. We are leaving first thing Friday morning. I haven't really started to pack at all. My DH has some last minute deadlines at work that he isn't able to meet, yet has to before we leave. I am getting over a sinus infection, DH is still dealing with gout. He went to the doc on Monday and got meds, but they aren't working fast enough so he is going back at noon today to get a shot. I went to bed with and woke up with a migraine. I have tons on laundry to do.. tons of packing, still more running around. The lawn needs to be mowed (we will be gone for 18 days total so it HAS to be done).

Overwhelming isn't it?

I am sending you some pixie dust.. would ya mind sending some my way too?

Here's some pd right back at you!!! :wizard: Thanks for all the kind words and thoughts. They must be working. Ds has stopped vomitting :teeth: I threw in a load of laundry and started putting some toiletries in a bag. Packed a bag with swimsuits, towels, goggles, sunscreen and made of list of what needs to be packed. I'm feeling better that I have gotten started.
Good luck to all those who are leaving for the World soon - here's to us all having a great trip, and low crowds!!
Now if I could only get off these boards, I'd make some real progress. :rotfl:
