Why is the Spring Merchandise out???

While Xmas shopping, I noticed shorts in the mens dept, bathing suits in the ladies, and "spring rompers" in the baby dept.

I also saw Valentine's Socks out.

I live in OHIO! It won't get warm here until at least June! Spring is MONTHS AND MONTHS of gray days away. Why is the spring stuff out before Xmas? Is the summer stuff due in Feb? Will we be seeing fall stuff in May? Winter in June? Xmas in July???
